About Martin Davies

I moved to the lovely South of France with my partner as an early retirement, buying an old stone house in the heart of Olonzac, in the centre of the Minervois wine producing region.

Martin Davies purchased this house in 2016

Why Martin Davies chose Olonzac

It is really two houses, and we live in one, with the gite next door a stand-alone fully equipped rental house - historic and traditional but with all modern conveniences.

What makes this house unique

Whole two-bedroom house, with both bedrooms air conditioned, and and a short walk away from all the restaurants, cafes, bars, banks, shops, etc in this lovely French village. The house and village is the perfect centre to visit:

Lakes, castles, Mediterranean beaches, mountains, abbeys, chateaux, cathedrals, vineyards - see the links below - then return to eat and drink at the many cafes, restaurants and bars a short walk from the house, or eat at home in your fully-equipped house, or use the little outside patio.

Olonzac has many shops, boulangeries, a boucherie, banks, cash machines, post office, hairdressers, pharmacies, a wine cave, tabac, mini-market, supermarket, take-aways, and more...

Restaurants in walking distance are:

Cafe De La Poste, 3, Allée Général de Gaulle, 34210 Olonzac

Martin's restaurant, 5, Allée Général de Gaulle, 34210 Olonzac

Côté Brasserie, 5, boulevard Gambetta, 34210 Olonzac

Central in medieval village but so peaceful!

  • 5 of 5

We spent 5 days at this lovely old house right in the middle of Olonzac. Parking was easy as it's opposite the Mairie! The house itself is beautifully decorated and beyond comfortable. Perfectly equipped kitchen, comfy sofas and beds and nice secluded outdoor space too. Perfect. Martin, the host, could not have been more helpful or available when needed and he provides an incredibly generous starter pack too. We highly recommend

Full of charme & authenticity

  • 5 of 5

Marie & Bernard, Aurillac, Cantal.
