Ideal sea view apartment with own spacious terrace

I travelled to Gordon's Bay on my own in March 2017 to visit my ill mother and was fortunate to have stayed at oceanviewapartments.co.za/1-bedroom-penthouse-luxury-apartment/

The apartment was spacious, spotlessly clean, full of light and had superb elevated sea views. The private outdoor terrace was larger than I'd expected with plenty of space for table & chairs and the sun loungers provided. A portable bbq and large sun umbrella were also available.

The apartment also felt incredibly secure - especially important for women travelling alone - and came with lock-up / garage parking too.

All in all I wanted for nothing and I wouldn't hesitate recommending the accommodation to anyone, whether for business or leisure.

It was great to meet the owners too - they struck a perfect balance between allowing me privacy yet also being there in time of need. During my 11-night stay I happened to find myself in a bit of a pickle late one night and despite it being in the early hours of the morning, Adam and Marcia extended gracious assistance without hint of hesitation or annoyance, which was truly beyond the call of duty. Thank you Adam and Marcia for taking such great care of me. Look forward to meeting again!

Great apartment in a great location!

My wife and I enjoyed a very relaxing week here during January. The apartment itself is outstanding - really well furnished and equipped throughout. The large patio is a great place to relax and unwind and the views are fantastic. The apartment is located very close to Gordon's Bay and a number of great bars and restaurants. The Thirsty Oyster near Bikini Beach was our favourite. Adam, the owner of the apartment, was extremely helpful and was the perfect host for our stay. Would definitely recommend and will for sure return in the future!

Location

Car: necessary

Gordon’s Bay is a beautiful seaside town some 25 mins from Cape Town International Airport and 40 mins from the city centre. Mountains are surrounded with mansions that have been built by the privileged view to take full advantage of the spectacular views. There are numerous pubs/bars & restaurants at very affordable prices. The picturesque fishing boats in the old yacht club are just below us and the new marina in Harbour Island houses restaurants and pubs for you to enjoy at your leisure.

Gordon’s Bay is considered the perfect location to tour the Western Cape in view of its central position as you are on the right side of the city to drive onto the garden route. The world famous Winelands of Stellenbosch & Franschoek are only 20-45 mins away. The drive from Gordon’s Bay to Hermanus along Claernce Drive is breathe taking and spectacular. The coastal road has been carved through the mountain giving you a feel of driving over the ocean which is literally below you! Because of the natural beauty of this wonder this area has been made a world heritage site. The warmer currents of the Indian Ocean filter into False Bay and Gordon’s Bay in particular allowing the water to be much warmer and therefore more pleasurable than the Atlantic Ocean on the other side of the Cape peninsula.
