The cottage provides everything you need to make your stay easy and relaxing.It includes a livingroom, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom and a bedroom. There are separate frontdoor and outdoor entrances, a portable barbecue exclusively for the use of the guests and a sunny landscaped green garden, full of trees and flowers for you to enjoy. WiFi is also available.
The accomodation suits four guests (a couple, or a couple with one or two children).
In our garden , you can relax and enjoy the beautiful view of the surrounding green forest on one side and the view of the sea and Mount Olympus on the other. Neighbouring forest paths are available to go for a walk, bike or run.
We discreetly cater for all your needs making sure that you will enjoy your peaceful holidays. We welcome you in person and show you all about the cottage. It's a pleasure for us to provide you with local advice and recommendations. We also live in the same property, so we can meet and talk about the local area as much as you would like. We are always available and close to our guests for any help, to fix anything that might be wrong.
Polygyros is a step away from Thessaloniki and the airport (50Km), and even less than the sea (10Km). Because of its central location in the Prefecture of Chalkidiki, there is easy access to the sea areas of the Prefecture as well as the wonderful forest of Holomontas for excursion or hiking routes. Many places of interest for visits such as Mount Athos, the Polygyros Archaeological Museum, ancient Olynthos ... At the small friendly Polygyros, the capital of the Prefecture, there are all Public Services ,Hospital, Private clinics, vets, shops as well as traditional taverns and restaurants scattered both in the town and in the nearby villages of Holomontas (Taxiarchis, Vrastama, etc).
The location of "Country Cottage I '' is about 600 metres from the edge of the city. There is a map with the exact position in our photos.You can also find us in Google maps (Country Cottage ,Poligiros).
The transportation can be done by car and / or hikes as the residence is 0.6 km from the town's edge (meeting in the route scattered other houses) and 1.5 km from the center of Polygyros.

A magnificent holiday between mountains and the sea

We spent two weeks in Stamatia and Ioannis' wonderful house and we can say that it was truly a magnificent stay with a perfect balance of everything we could imagine: thanks to the location on a hill it was never too hot, a nice refreshing wind was always there and we never used air conditioning (that is also available). The sea is just 10 - 15 mins ride and the overall location is perfect to discover the whole region of Halkidiki, the house being just in front of all the three peninsulas. The house itself is very beautiful and built and designed with love and care ! All possible arrangements are present, the interior design and facilities, wonderful garden, terrace, barbecue... My last and most important word is for the hosts - Stamatia and Ioannis are so kind and welcoming, it was a real pleasure to meet them and spend time with them during our stay. I cannot enumerate all the kind things they did for us and all the things they shared..! Thank you so much, we will remember this holiday and would be more than happy to meet you again ! ευχαριστώ ! Amazing!

We absolutely loved staying here. Ioannis and Stamatia are incredibly kind hosts and they welcomed us into their home. Each day they would ask us where we would be heading and gave us wonderful tips. The house itself was equipped with everything we could have asked for, we loved the fireplace and it was kept in tiptop shape. We had an awesome stay here and could have asked for nothing more!

Einmalige Gastfreundschaft in einer wunderschönen Unterkunft

Stamatia und Ioannis sind zwei außergewöhnlich aufmerksame Gastgeber. Die guten Tipps und das telefonische Organisieren einiger unserer Ausflüge hat uns sehr geholfen. Beim gelegentlichen gemeinsamen Grillabend hatten wir die Möglichkeit, unsere Gastgeber auch privat kennenzulernen. Wer also mal echte Gastfreundschaft erleben möchte,dem möchte ich diese Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen. Das Haus und der Garten sind mit viel Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet. Wir durften sogar Tomaten, Paprika und Äpfel im Garten ernten. Liebe Stamatia, lieber Ioannis wir kommen gerne nochmal bei euch vorbei. Danke das wir euch kennen lernen dürften! Brit und Stefan

Eine traumhafte Unterkunft

Liebe Stamatia, lieber Ioannis, vielen Dank für die wundervolle und traumhafte Unterkunft. Wir schwärmen noch immer von Eurer Gastfreundschaft und Hilfsbereitschaft. Besonders die netten Abende im Garten werden wir lange in Erinnerung behalten. Die Wohnung ist wunderbar und liegt zentral im Chalkidiki und man kann alle Ziele mit einem Auto innerhalb von 45 Minuten erreichen. Es ist sehr angenehm auf 650m Höhe zu wohnen um der Hitze etwas zu entkommen. So kann man auch schlafen ohne die Klimaanlage anmachen zu müssen. Wenn es doch mal zu heiß ist, sind im Schlafzimmer und Wohnzimmer eine Klimaanlage vorhanden. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und Stamatia bat uns sogar an, diese alle 4 Tage zu reinigen. Handtücher gab es ausreichend. Die Wohnung ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und es fehlt an nichts. Besonders der liebevoll eingerichtet Aussenbereich hat uns sehr gefallen. Sogar das Gemüse aus dem Garten durften wir verwenden. Es gab immer wertvolle Tips zum Erkunden der Gegend und wenn wir mal einen Wunsch hatten, wurde dieser auch sofort erfüllt (unser Sohn schwärmt immer noch von dem "Besuch" der Schildkröten :-) ) Wir können jedem diese Wohnung empfehlen, der echte griechische Gastfreundschaft erleben möchte und etwas abseits vom Trubel der Touristenorte wohnen möchten.
