Torcross Baclony Apartment is a two bedroom accommodation on the beach of Slapton sands in Torcross.
The apartment doesn't have an allocated parking spot but there is pleny of paid parking near by and also 5 mins away there is free parking outside the post office.
The apartment doesn't have a washing machine.
Each bedroom has its own en suite bathroom. The twin room is roomy and has a view of the Lake 'Slapton Ley nature reserve'. The bathroom has a deep bath and a double spacious shower enclosure.(includes a window to enjoy the view of the ducks, swans and coots on the Lake while you shower).
The Sea facing king room has french windows leading on to a large balcony with 180 degree views of the Start bay. This room has a delightful shower room with a window with a view of the start point light house.
The living area is open plan and which ever way you turn you can see water, lake or sea. The kitchen / living room area has two large patio doors which lead to the large balcony where there is a set of ocean cube seating with cushions so you can sit out and eat or sit out and relax in privacy with the waves splashing on the shingle below. There is seating for 4 in the TV area and a table for 6/8 guests in case you have friends for dinner.
Torcross is an old fashioned small sea side village with a cafe, a restaurant/takeaway and a pub. All serve excellent food.There is also a village stores/post office for your essentials.
The beach is a shingle beach 3 miles long. Dogs are allowed all year round. The appartment sits on a peninsular of land which separates the beach from a fresh water lake which is a nature reserve and very popular with walkers and bird watchers. Tha area is protected as an area of outstanding natural beauty and a site of special scientific interest.. Lovely walks can be taken around the lake and along the beach. The next cove on from Slapton is the picturesque Black pool sands beach it has a natural paddling pool for is safe for children. There is a beach cafe here and a seaside shop. Sandy beaches can be found across the water from Salcombe which involves a small ferryboat, or you can drive to Eastportlemouth and park in the national trust car park . Dogs are allowed on the beaches of Eastpotlemouth.
Local towns are Kingsbridge, Dartmouth and Totnes.
