A NOTE FROM MY DAUGHTER

My sister and I stayed for a week's holiday at our Dad's villa in the heart of the Murcia region.

The Villa is very modern, refurbished to a high standard, and has all mod cons available. Our stay was very comfortable and a home from home. We are used to travelling to resorts, so we welcomed the tranquillity that the quiet location had to offer, with the sights and busy areas all on the door step, just a short drive away.

There is allocated parking next to the villa. Outside, there is a great family pool - great for kids, along with lounge-style outside furniture around the poolside and front of the villa for all day sun. Inside, the open plan kitchen living area offers a great sociable space with a terrace at the front and back of the property.

The bedrooms are very comfortable, with a large bathroom and double "his and hers" sinks. A balcony overlooks the pool area from the main bedroom for watching the sun rise over the surrounding hills.

We hiked many of the nature trails through the hills surrounding the resort, which provided a great escape from city life with lovely wild nature.

The trails range from a short walk to up to ten miles, so lots on offer. Mercadona supermarket is nearby along the road from Murcia, and neighbouring the property is Airmar shop and restaurant, offering fresh local produce, fruit, veg, meat, and has a restaurant and bar serving tapas that is popular with the locals (despite its roadside appearance). The family run place also run the petrol station outside the walls of the resort, where you can also pick up some basic amenities.

There is a lovely hotel restaurant at Banos Y Mendigo (Venta El Puerto Restaurant) at a local price, serving dinner, coffee and tapas. Opposite the hotel up through the houses behind the old petrol station, you can take a short walk (30 minutes or so) through rural farmland back to the resort to walk off the indulgence.

For a more expensive affair, head to the neighbouring El Valle Golf Resort for drinks, food, a round of Golf or the spa. Again, a 2 minute drive or a nice 30 minute walk through the natural landscape. For more active holiday makers, there are lots of activities a short drive away.

Highlights include Cartegena, a historic port city with Roman Amphitheatre, cafe culture, a promenade along the Port side area, and a popular Med cruise stop. Bustling nightlife, and chic bars. Murcia City is close by. Beaches a plenty nearby.

Very nice villa welcoming owners

  • 5 of 5

We spent two weeks in Villa Feliz. The owners Steve and Pam were warm and welcoming upon our arrival. The villa had everything we needed for two adults and two teenage children. Very comfortable and well equipped.

The pool was excellent and very clean and contained within a group of villas with a very well kept garden area.

Very good restaurants in the area serving great Spanish food. Cartagena is only a 20 min drive with access to some coves near the port great for snorkelling and is a lovely port city. Murcia is nearby with access to a good supermarket.

We really enjoyed our holiday there and would highly recommend particularly if you want somewhere to stay that is relaxing and peaceful.

Quite little villa tucked away

  • 5 of 5

Very nice little villa that comfortably sleeps 4 and has everything you need for your stay. Very easy drive into either murcia or cartagena.

Very quite and peaceful former golf resort that has a couple of neibours but more empty than occupied. The pool is clean and very refreshing after a day out.

Steve and pam met us on arrival and gave us all the info we would need for our stay.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review Daniel. We are very pleased you enjoyed your stay. Due to you visiting in early season, the majority of owners only occupy their properties in high season. Hope you see you and your family again the future.

Property very clean & very well appointed.

  • 4 of 5

Our weather could have been better and our sat nav which we updated on the computer before we went was somewhat temperamental which was challenging. Overall it was a pleasant break.

I would like to make a constructive comment......it would be helpful if there was a welcome bag and written directions to nearest supermarket & restaurant for those without smart phones.

Owner's Response: Hi Richard & Carol Thank you for your review, as I am writing this email its 32 degrees that's the weather for you. Location wise we are only 500 m from the A30 Cartagena Murcia motorway and the resort is long established and is listed on GPS and Google. Apologies for not having a local supermarket and restaurant list, we have now implemented a list which is easy accessible within the villa. We wish you both all the best Kind regards Steve & Pam

Well equipped, fabulous villa, friendly welcoming owners

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this detached villa for 10 nights with our two dogs and loved every second of it. The villa is situated within a gated community with security guard access who were friendly and welcoming. Mosa Trajectum was a five star golf resort, but since the closure of the golf course and clubhouse some of the in-site facilities are no longer in existence, but the rest of the resort is clean, is well maintained and offers total peace and tranquility. The villa is very comfortable and well equipped. It has a shared pool and overlooks what was once a golf course. Mercia is about a 10 minute drive away with plenty of shops, supermarkets and fast food restaurants. However daily bread and groceries are available from the local petrol station literally outside the resort gates. There are plenty of tracks for walkers or mountain bikers which can be accessed from the villa area. The owner Steve was extremely helpful and met us on arrival with his wife. Communication throughout our journey there and throughout our stay, was excellent. We have no hesitation in recommending this villa for others and plan to return in the future.
