A few minutes drive away, Puerto Banus is a millionaires' playground with its marina, designer boutiques, high-end restaurants and sophisticated night life - although you can still find affordable places to eat, drink and shop there. Just along the coast is Marbella with its shops, lovely old quarter and beachside promenade.
If you enjoy history and culture, combine your stay at the apartment with day trips or city breaks to the historic centres of Ronda, Cadiz, Seville, Granada and Cordoba - all within a few hours driving distance - or visit the Picasso museum in Malaga's under-rated old town.
Los Arqueros is conveniently situated about 40 minutes from Malaga airport and is an easy drive via the auto pista (toll road). A hire car is recommended and the apartment has a designated underground car parking space.
