About the property

Loads of parking, 3 bedrooms, close to beaches and harbour

The property is ideally located in the centre of Cornwall on the south coast. The house is semi detached to owners residence. There are three bedrooms, a large bright, spacious lounge, fitted kitchen with washing machine and family bathroom with overbath shower. The whole house is comfortably furnished and equipped with bed linen and towels. There is a TV with a DVD player. Wifi is also supplied. Beyond the Break has two areas laid to lawn a decked patio and has ample parking.

The Eden Project is three miles away, the coast just one mile and easy walking distance, as are all the restaurants, pubs and cafes at Charlestown, the home of the square-sail ships. There are lovely walks in this area and easy access to the coastal path, two Golf courses ( Porthpean and Carlyon Bay), riding stables, sports centre, tennis courts and the north coast just a 20 minute drive.

There is ample parking space should you wish to bring another vehicle or boat

We had an excellent stay here and really felt at home. Bruce and his family were very welcoming and the property was very clean and just the perfect size for us and the two girls. We really enjoyed walking into Charlestown and were able to visit the Eden Project and our relatives near the Truro area. Thoroughly recommend and will return!

What a great accommodation. The owner Bruce was so helpful and kind. Our stay was very brief and ideal for us especially the dog. Clean and well equipped with everything you could need. So close to beach, and all the amenities nearby. Can't thank Bruce enough for accommodating us as such short notice; would definitely stay again and recommend highly. BRILLIANT.

“A great base for all our Cornish activities”

The accommodation and location was more than we could have asked for in meeting our needs to visit Cornwall. Accommodation was spacious and comfortable and included everything even for great home cooking which we enjoy. The owner Bruce and his family were really friendly and helpful but also, being owner operator of the local water sports at Pentewan beach was a real bonus for lots of fun activities in the water. We look forward to staying again in the future.

Great location, several good beaches only 5-10 minutes drive, or there is one within a 15 min walk but beware the steep walk back up hill. Porthewan beach where the watersports are located is great with a lovely sandy beach. We used the kayaks and the bodyboards. Bruce is extremely helpful and we had lovely tea/coffee and chocolate cakes waiting for us when we arrived. It is a great base to explore the surrounding areas, a 10 min walk into Charlestown, which is a lovely quaint harbour. We did try crabbing from there, but weren't very lucky before the kids got bored.

Quiet location within a 5 minute drive to the beach or St Austell. Property was clean and well equipped . The owner, who lives adjacent to the property, is very helpful and accommodating, and made us feel very welcome. Although there is a wide range of watersports equipment available we did not use them. However, the availability of such items and the expertise of the owner are great assets for watersports enthusiasts.

What a lovely holiday. We miss it already! There were four of us, but there is easily room for 6 in the bungalow, as it is quite spacious. The accommodation was good, with lots of storage in the bedrooms, kitchen, and bathroom for all of our possessions. There was also plenty of room to relax in the lounge, and even an outdoor seating area, which is lovely to sit peacefully, or even have a BBQ. We were surprised that the beach was so close as well. Bruce, the owner, includes water sports in the price, which we took full advantage of. The price may seem a little steep at first glance, but when we considered how much we used the water sports, the size of the bungalow, and the friendly owner, who helped us whenever we needed it, it was well worth it. We must have used the equivalent of hundreds of pounds worth of water sports, which made the holiday quite cheap! The area that it is in as well is very convenient, as there is an asda on the next road (3 minute drive), and the beach is only 2 roads away (5 minute drive, or 10-15 minute walk), as well as the Eden project being a 10 minute drive away, and other local attractions being very close. This property would be suitable for a family, or adults. We enjoyed the holiday so much, that we hope to be returning soon!

We had an excellent week staying at 'Beyond the Break'. The accommodation had everything we needed. The location was ideal, close to St Austell. Also close distance to Charlestown Harbour which is very picturesque and a lovely place to walk to. The owner was very accommodating particularly with us bringing our own boat as there was plenty of room to park it outside the bungalow. Bedrooms were comfortable, kitchen well equipped and lounge very spacious with TV and freeview provided. I wouldn't say that it was luxurious, rather that it covered most needs and more particularly our needs for what was a very active week on our boat and in taking the Powerboat course. Would definitely recommend it to people interested in a boating holiday near the sea and in particular interested in RYA Powerboat Courses run by the owner. It ticked all our boxes anyway!

Lovely spacious bungalow

Apart from our typical rainy weather, We had a great time staying here it’s plenty big enough.The family came to us , 9 in all, 6 seater table, corner sofa, takeaway delivered.

Games including jackbox tv loads of fun. WiFi, a must for us.

Asda is of walking distance,

Bruce is a great guy, very helpful and willing to chat.

Great Location

Comfortable accommodation, nicely positioned close to several beaches and the town and shops. The owner Bruce and his son Ross who live in the adjoining property are both very friendly and kindly allowed us and the children use of their water sports equipment, which made the holiday extra special for the kiddies.

The property was 'shared 'with the owner! The outside area was not secure/safe re children

The property was part of the owner's house, separated by internal doors.It felt like we were house sharing, noise from both sides and kitchen aroma.

The outside space was totally unsuitable for the grandchildren.

Apologies for any noise by visitors in my house as was away for two days. Never received in ten years a score less than 4 to 4.5 out of 5 so realise you are not happy. Again my apologies.

Lovely bungalow with plenty of space in the front but not so much garden.

We loved our stay . Bruce was the perfect host. The lounge was a good size with lots of dvd's and books as well as lots of info on places to visit. Music would have been nice. The master bedroom was a good size as was the twin bedroom but the second double was of adequate size but didn't have a window only a skylight.

Perfect place for touring beaches and attractions.

Good property and excellent customer service.

I can absolutely recommend this property. Bruce was absolutely lovely and catered to our every need providing excellent service. We were travelling with 3 large dogs and found the property very easy to manage them in, with good walks in the area. The property is spacious and though there was just the two of us would cater for a family very well. Highly recommended we will be back!

Charlestown is a ten to fiftteen minute walk from the holiday home. This is the home of Square sail ships, a marine museum, restaurants and pubs. This is where scenes from Poldark are filmed. On a sunny evening, kids( young and old!) can enjoy swimming and jumping in the harbour, while you enjoy a drink watching on.

Porthpean and Duporth beaches are again ten to fifteen minutes walk and a lovely day out. Walk along the cliff paths to discover some stunning scenery such as SIlvermines beaches, where the Phonicians traded with the Cornish in tin and silver 2500 years ago.Further on is Ropehaven on the way to Black head where a smugglers tunnel was discovered leading to Porthpean village, about 2.5 miles long !

3 miles away you have the Eden project, world renowned for its botanical biomes.

25 minute drive to the north coast you have the best surfing beaches in the UK such as Watergate and Fistral in the Newquay area.

If you like the moors then you have Bodmin moor about 10 to 12 miles away, stunning scenery and the highest point in Cornwall.

To the west you have Truro (14 miles) and Falmouth (25 miles), Falmouth being one of the deepest natural ports in the world and both names made famous in the Poldark series.

Beyond the Break is centrally located to all these superb locations
