This Grade II listed 19th century period cottage in the Peak District National Park is ideal for walkers, cyclists or anyone just looking to enjoy Derbyshire. Hefford House is a spacious two-bedroomed cottage in the picturesque and charming village of Winster situated within the Peak District National park.The village has a thriving village shop open 7 days a week and local pub which serves good food. You can enjoy numerous walks from the cottage doorstep or have an easy drive to most areas of the White and Dark Peak.
Hefford House is a spacious period cottage. The living room has a lovely wood burning stove and all necessary amenities to ensure you have a comfortable stay in the heart of this area of outstanding natural beauty: TV (Freesat), DVD, DAB radio with CD player and MP3 input. There are board games and walking guides. Wi-Fi is available throughout the cottage.
The archway leads through to the large, fully equipped kitchen/diner and utility area with dining table, oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge / freezer. We have a Nespresso machine so please bring capsules if you enjoy Nespresso coffee. The utility area has plenty of storage for walking boots and coats.
Upstairs to the main bedroom with double bed, drawers and hanging space.
The bathroom has recently been fully renovated and now has a large walk in shower with two shower heads. Amtico flooring gives a warm natural feel underfoot and all fixtures and fittings are “state of the art”.
The 2nd bedroom on the top floor has twin beds and built-in wardrobes. The front window is fixed and does not open. Two rear windows have child safety locks fitted.
Outside there is secure storage for cycles to the side of the house. There is a charming private roof terrace garden which is a natural sun trap and perfect to enjoy a glass of wine or a beer after an enjoyable walk in the Derbyshire hills.
Well behaved dogs are welcome but we ask that they remain on the ground floor only and off the sofa.
The cottage has a welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and sugar as well as logs, kindling and firelighters for the fire. Parking is on street and there are no parking restrictions.
