A Wonderful Family Vacation!
My family and I stayed 6 nights at this charming and unique home. We loved the comfortable accomodations, friendly hosts and perfect location for this rental. The house was so perfect for our family of four and we couldn't have been happier with our stay.
Mark and his family were wonderful guests. We look forward to seeing them again.
Great Getaway in the Big Horns!
As soon as we pulled up to the ranch house, we knew this small cottage was going to be perfect for our vacation in the Big Horn Mountains of Wyoming. We were attending Longmire Days in Buffalo, and the cottage location made it very easy to reach both Buffalo and Sheridan (which is closer at 10 miles distance). It is in an ideal area for exploring Montana's Big Horn Canyon, the Pryer Mountains, Shell Falls, Custer's Battlefield, Greybull, Tensleep and many other sights of interest.
With two bedrooms, one with queen bed and one with two twins, it's easy enough for 4 people, but for two of us, we each had our own room which is exactly what we wanted. One small bathroom is off the queen bedroom, but it was certainly not an issue at all and easily shared. Talk about peace and quiet!!! There is a small window a/c that cools off the entire cottage when temperatures rise, and a small stove in the corner for chilly days. Decorated with many western themed prints and artwork, lots of detail was spent putting this cottage together. The kitchen is nicely appointed with cabinets full of everything you may ever want while vacationing (and more!). Large fridge / freezer, washer / dryer, microwave, oven/ stove, and cute dining table. The view from the kitchen over the pastures and horse barns was lovely, and the sunsets so pretty. We sat on the front porch with coffee, and visited with the nicest dogs that belong to the ranch. They are definitely not overbearing in any way. I loved the living room, and spent many evenings cuddled up in a blanket watching the large screen tv of my favorite Netflix series, Longmire!! Great internet and cell phone service too!
While we did not meet our host, they were available within minutes and always had answers to our many questions. Someone was at the ranch at all times if anything urgent came up.
We had an amazing time at Longmire Days, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at our cozy cottage. We didn't want to leave! Definitely recommend for family, two couples or a few friends getting together. Will certainly book again!
Peaceful and serene.
The serenity of the property was exactly what we needed after the crowds in Jackson . The home was charming and extremely clean. The western themed art was beautiful and the books in their small library were appreciated. And the dogs !! They were a reminder to take things in stride; there’s no reason to lose your cool- unless someone has a stick. My only regret was we didn’t stay longer.
Loved, Loved, Loved it!!
Very comfortable cozy house in a relaxing location. Owners were fabulous and super helpful. Perfectly situated near Sheridan, not too close, not too far. Would highly recommend this for someone looking for a "ranch" experience. Can't wait to return!
Nice comfortable stay. Great scenery from the kitchen windows. Comfortable beds and sheets. Great place to get away from the busy grind of the city. Plan to stay again.
Peaceful Get Away
This lovely cottage has everything you need; vistas, wildlife, comfortable beds and amazingly caring hosts! Great for a couples retreat or taking the kids to the Big Horns. We will be back!
