About Buck and Sarah Jones

Buck is an Eastern Shore native who returned to his roots after serving in the Navy. Sarah met Buck in the famous Carpenter Street Saloon on a weekend break from Georgetown University. After spending ten years working and residing in Washington, DC, the couple decided to move permanently to the vacation home they had built in Talbot County to raise their family. Together with their three kids, they enjoy the laidback lifestyle of the Shore - socializing with friends, boating, fishing and hunting.

Why Buck and Sarah Jones chose Neavitt

Seth's Landing has been in Buck's family since the early 1900's. This home offered gorgeous views and had great "bones", but needed an owner with the time and know-how to fully renovate it. Buck was anxious to restore this property to its former glory. Seth's Landing provides great privacy and panoramic water views. Neavitt is a quintessential watermen's village where watermen have been harvesting the Bay's bounty for many generations. The towns surrounding this area offer year round entertainment including festivals, events, narrated historical cruises, food and wine tasting, and antique car and boat shows.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Excellent little cottage on the water. Very quiet neighborhood. Kitchen had everything needed to make a Thanksgiving feast. Hosts were great and dropped off some extra chairs we needed. Would highly recommend if you want a little getaway spot.

An amazing home right on the water!

  • 5 of 5

Life doesn't get any better than this! The home is beautiful with everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Being right on the water is incredible. I even went swimming in June! Three adults stayed at the house and we could not have been happier. We made trips into St. Michaels for shopping and dining but mainly stayed at home to enjoy the scenery and serenity. We will definitely return. Thank you so much Buck and Sarah!

amazing location

  • 5 of 5

The house was great and the location is amazing. We brought our kayaks which we could launch right there but also spent a lot of time sitting in the Adirondack chairs watching the ospreys, herons and other birds.

Beautiful home right on the water!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful historic home with modern kitchen, and everything you need right on the water. They have thought of everything you may need, spices, kitchen gadgets, linens, towels, you name it. And what a wonderful setting on the water, 15 minutes outside St. Michaels. Relaxing, wonderful stay. Hope to be back!

Very peaceful

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely time at this quaint waterside home. You cannot beat the proximity to the water. We really enjoyed taking out the canoe and the kayaks that were available. The area was very peaceful. The house was well kept and comfortable and Sarah was very attentive and friendly. While not in St. Michael's - it was a quick trip into town. I would definitely visit again.

Amazing Getaway

  • 5 of 5

I cannot say enough about my initial VRBO experience. How lucky were my husband & I to choose Buck and Sarah's lovely waterfront home for a weekend getaway. The home was immaculate and no detail had been left undone. The check in process was a breeze and Buck and Sarah were kind enough to leave fresh eggs from their chickens. The best eggs we've had in awhile. The house has more than everything you would need to have a comfortable stay. Fully stocked kitchen. Nice linens. And an instruction binder with any information you could possibly need. It was really like staying at a relative's house while they were out of town. We enjoyed sitting by the water while the weather cooperated, and made the short drive into town for dining and exploring St. Michaels when it didn't. While my husband's attempt at revisiting fishing did not exactly work out, I'll never forget the look in his eye when he heading out with his rod. So excited. Thanks again Buck and Sarah for making our anniversary getaway a memorable one.
