Step up into grand!
The online photos and descriptions accurately explain the offerings, but all the comforts are what travelers really want. This home has it all in Spades! What a delightful stay! The kitchen allows for three or four people the room to create their individual specialties. The living room easily accommodated adults and two children playing nearby. Bedroom tastes are personal, but the sizes of each were quite comfortable. My grand-girls loved their room, shared by the owners' daughter who loves horses. One of the girls participates in horse shows! They felt quite at home. Beyond the home, Park Slope opens to many opportunities: Park Slope walking tour is interesting and safe; Prospect Park welcomed many of our walks; and while lots of buds were yet to bloom, the Botanical Gardens was an early spring treasure. While the aim of our visit was connecting with my Brooklyn son and his new wife, we were also tourists and enjoyed the High Line gardens, lots of great restaurants, and delightful wines (go to Slope Cellars). A highlight...King Lear at BAM...was a gift from my Brooklyn son for my 70th birthday! And most importantly, the owners communicated very well! The house manual sounds a bit intimidating, but it is full of wonderful hints and suggestions. Bottom line, the description of their home is not exaggerated...our visit was Stunning.
Great Home Great Neighborhood
We enjoyed a week at Daniel's home with our daughter and two grandsons. The home exceeded expectations (which were high). Daniel was responsive and helpful. The neighborhood has it all: coffee shops, wine shops, grocery stores, neighborhood restaurants filled with locals, tree lined streets and Prospect Park. All with good access to Manhattan on the subway.
Excellent, highly recommended!
This summer we had, together with our two sons and their girlfriends, a lovely stay and great time in this beautiful house in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Host Daniel did everything to make us feel welcome, the house is spacious, clean and beautiful renovated with good quality materials. Daniel made a welcome book with information about the neighborhood and all the guidelines we needed for making use of the equipment like washing machine, air conditioning system and audiovisual equipment. We had all the privacy we needed with three separate bedrooms and additional bathrooms. Everyday we made use of the outside deck, especially late in the evenings when the temperature became bearable. The neighborhood is calm and friendly and there are several metro stations, shops, good quality restaurants and the beautiful Prospect Park all on walking distance. Almost everyday we went to New York City by metro and in the evening it always felt like coming home. It was a privilege to stay in this lovely house for two weeks and although we never met our host in person, he and his family made our family feel like long lost friends. They did everything to make our stay in their home a big success! Highly recommended!
