Son Salas is a beautifully restored 17th century farmhouse set in a peaceful valley near the picturesque town and port of Soller. The property includes 50 hectares of olive groves, orange and lemon orchards, an organic vegetable garden, lawned terraces that lead to a tennis court with stunning valley views and a large chlorine-free swimming pool (16m x 6m). The pool is overlooked by an outdoor kitchen/dining pavilion with shower, wc and fridge /sink unit for refreshments. The farmhouse is built around an original cobblestone courtyard ideally furnished for "al fresco" dining. The farmhouse itself consists of various living rooms, salons and bedrooms constructed on four levels, many with beamed ceilings and all decorated with local art and antiques. The ground floor kitchen has an original corner fireplace, and leads to the spacious living room with Bang and Olufsen television/SAT pre-programmed with 300 DVD'S. The original olive press has been stylishly converted into a dramatic dining room with a large open fireplace. There is a separate automated cinema room with a further 300 DVD'S pre-programmed, as well as a pool table. Upstairs, there is an office with computer and fax. An additional, professionally equipped, kitchen is available for those travelling with their own staff. Guest accommodation is located on two floors and consists of five bedrooms each with en suite bathrooms. The master suite also has its own dressing room, library in addition to its marble bathroom. The rental price shown on the website applies for up to 10 people. Accommodation for a further four guests, in the form of two separate apartments, is available on request (at an additional supplement). Soller and its port are just a short drive from the house and there is unique access to a wooded waterfront plot (10 minutes drive away) for ocean swimming. A cook is available for preparation of breakfast and lunch (and also dinner for an additional charge). Main House. Ground Floor. The entrance via a courtyard planted with palm trees and mature shrubs contains an outside dining area. There is large open plan kitchen with traditional fireplace and a dining area. There is a WC. The spacious and light split-level living room area (600 m2) leads onto terraces and pool. One area contains two 3-seater sofas, a coffee table, a fireplace, a CD Player and Bang & Olufsen Satellite TV; and the other area contains an L-shaped sofa, a coffee table and fireplace. There is a second kitchen normally uses for catering. There is a dining room created from the old olive press that seats up to 10 people. First Floor. There is a sitting area with a piano and a PC with Internet Connection (ADSL). There is a laundry room. There are five bedrooms: 1 master bedroom with dressing room, library and marble bathroom (containing a bath and separate shower) leading to the garden. It has TV, DVD and CD Player. Second Floor: There are 4 double bedrooms, each with four-poster bed and en-suite bathroom (bath). There is a sitting area that contains a 2-seater sofa, a TV and DVD. There are two apartments. Apartment 1 (on the second floor): There is a little kitchenette, and open plan living/dining room and two bedrooms, 1 double with four-poster bed, fireplace, TV, DVD, and phone and 1 single. There is a bathroom with shower. Apartment 2 (on the ground floor): There is a kitchen, open plan living/dining room with two 2-seater sofas, a coffee table and a dining table that seats 4. There is a master bedroom with four-poster bed and en-suite bathroom (containing a bath and separate shower). This bedroom is air-conditioned and has French doors that open onto the garden. ). Most of the bedrooms have CD Player and telephone. Grounds: There is an outdoor kitchen and barbecue area close to the private swimming pool surrounded by gardens and tracks through to Soller. There are two outside dining areas and a bathroom with a shower. On the courtyard there is a room that contains a billiard table, a big cinema screen with a Sony DVC/CD Player with over 300 titles and several sofas.
