How to move
Here you will find some info about the major tourist attractions that our territory has to offer! We will still be at your disposal to give you all the information and advice you need for a great stay. What's better about walking around the streets of our beautiful village?
A small medieval village, which became autonomous in the second half of the 13th century, still has several buildings of historical importance, all over the church of San Francesco, adjacent to the municipal palace dedicated to the Friar, in memory of its stay in the village between 1214 And 1216. The Palazzo dei Priori, the Palazzo del Popolo (today the Theater of Victory), the Podestà Palace and the church of Santa Maria di Piazza are located in the Piazza Alta, with great works of art. The center, perched and built mainly with stone stone (which makes the village a peculiar characteristic) also houses the municipal gallery, the Franciscan library, the ancient and modern weapons museum, the hammer and the bird life. In the high square of Sarnano stands the church of S. Maria Assunta, built in the second half of the 13th century, dominated by a massive bell tower later than a century. Inside, various works of great value include a Madonna with Child and Saints of Antonio and Giangentile of Lorenzo (1483) and the Trinity by Paolo Bontulli da Percanestro (1530). Sarnano is renowned for being an historic ski resort and is by the order of magnitude the second largest of the Marche, with 11 km of slopes. The Sarnano area, located on the chain of the Sibillini Mountains, consists of two towns: Sassotetto and Santa Maria Maddalena. The plants have been modernized in recent years, now the resort has 11 lifts: 2 treadmills - 5 skilift - 2 maneuvers and 2 chair lifts (one double and triple) serving medium difficulty ski slopes. Sarnano and the territory of the Parco dei Sibillini also offers countless possibilities for those who want to walk and discover its treasures throughout the seasons. The urban routes drive us into the medieval corners of the lands scattered at the slopes of the Sibillini, while pleasant walks lead us into the mosaic of life from the rural and pastoral flavor. Finally, an unforgettable experience can be experienced along the Great Ring of the Sibillines: a 124 km hiking trail that is fully signaled that, in nine days of walking, it is possible to discover the entire mountain range. Distance from Sarnano: 38km (35 min by car) Built between 1820 and 1829 for the wish of well-beloved citizens, the building began on the design of Salvatore Innocenzi, and inaugurated in 1829. Designed for ball games with the bracelet, very popular in the mid-nineteenth century, it is home to several types of public performances. After a first series of theatrical performances at the end of the nineteenth century, in the twentieth century one begins to think seriously that the space of the building can be a perfect frame for operatic performances where one of the best kermes of the whole of Italy is being proposed today.
