Lovely location, very nice villa.

Myself and friends stayed for the week at the Villa and enjoyed our stay. Its in a quiet hilltop location with lovely views over the valley, not difficult to find with Sat Nav and the roads are not too rough. 15 minutes down to Setubal. The villa is clean and well equipped although the washing machine has seen better days. The pool is well maintained and big enough to do a length or two. One thing to be aware of is that one of the bedrooms opens off another so using all 10 beds requires some flexibility.

In summary a place we would happily return to.

Beautiful Home with a Magnificent Viee

7 adults came to Wiinto Do Vento for a wedding weekend in Palmela, Portugal.

We spent most of our 5 nights in the kitchen cooking, drinking and reveling when not in the pool or enjoying the local area.

The house has 5 bedrooms, but one of the bedrooms can only be accessed through another bedroom. There are two living rooms and a dining area in addition to the very large kitchen table that can seat 10 to 12. The house is clean and bright and all of the appliances worked. We ate dinner out on the patio dining table until we were chased away by the automatic sprinklers. This was quickly remedied the following day.

Fantastic location, lovely views, garden and pool

We stayed at Quinta do Ventol for a week with 3 adults and 4 young children through HomeAway. From start to finish we had a great experience. All the e-mail communication to book the house and pay the deposit were easy and the agent was really helpful with questions we had. We were met at the house by another agent who was very helpful in touring us around the house and telling us more about the area and where to go – she was also available by phone during the week to help on any questions about the house. The house was in a wonderful location in a very secluded spot up in the hills, about a 12-15 minute drive from the town of Setubal and was down a little lane and had a fantastic 360 view over the hills and attached vine-yard – which was the perfect setting to watch the sun set. The house had no near neighbours, the grounds around the house were great for the children to run around in and both the garden and pool were clean and very well looked after. The house was spotless and had everything you would need especially in the well-stocked kitchen including a big table with benches – perfect for large friends/family meals – and a spacious front room for evening relaxing. We spent most of our time outside so didn’t watch any TV (a small one not a big screen) or surf the internet much – because of its location the internet connection wasn’t always very quick so if you’re after a peaceful location with minimal interruptions from neighbours or the outside world, this is the place for you. Setubal is the closest town with traditional tiled streets and square and a fantastic fresh fruit/vegetable/meat/fish market right next to Pingo Doce supermarket – a small sized supermarket stocking pretty much all that you need. For a hyper-market sized supermarket plus more modern retail shops Jumbo shopping centre was also about 12-15 minutes from the house. There were beautiful beaches further along the coast and by ferry to Troia – take the car and drive to the miles-long beautiful white sandy beach – which was pretty empty at the time of year we went (end of May). There was another village close by the house called Palmelo which we didn’t make it to but looked like it was worth an explore from the view on our hill. Lisbon is only a 40 minute car ride away and there is a train from Setubal if you wanted to do a day trip.

We really enjoyed our stay at Quinto do Vento and are already talking about returning next year to explore more of the area.

just perfect

I cannot tell you how beautiful this place is. it was just perfect for our holiday. The facilities, rooms, environs, liaison staff were all perfect... in fact don't read this as you might book it instead of us next year as we are certainly returning.....

Even prettier than the pictures!

Our family loved the villa. There were seven of us arriving at different times, and the area was very convenient to the airport in Lisbon. The views were lovely, the vineyard was a real working farm, and the house was extremely comfortable. Luzia met us on arrival with a wonderful basket of Portuguese food and wine and could not have been more accommodating. (She handled our very late arrival with gracious calm!) The villa was extremely peaceful and was perfect for our family. At the same time, it was a quick trip to Setubal to enjoy sightseeing, shopping and excellent seafood. We explored the beautiful seacoast nearby and went on great day trips to Sintra, Evora, Monserrate, and Cape Espichel. We also really enjoyed family time at the villa by the pool. Perfect place for a relaxing holiday!

The Natural Park of Serra da Arrábida is a protected area due to its high value at biodiversity. Here you'll find a magnificent natural environment to discover, either by car, trekking or mountain biking. At the slope of the mountain, you'll find lovely small beaches of fine sand, no waves and no wind, where you can also do canoeing, pedal-boat, diving and, of course, relaxing! The beaches of Figueirinha, Creiro or Galapos can be reached by a 20min. driving; the city of Palmela stays at 8km and there you should visit the Castle and can do horse riding; the friendly City of Setúbal stays at 7km and offers a wide range of high quality seafood and fish restaurants. The charming Village of Azeitão stays at 14km and offers you the best of its gastronomy: the “Torta de Azeitão” (kind of a cake), the Azeitão cheese and high quality wine. At 29km driving, you’ll find the picturesque fishing Village of Sesimbra. Lisbon stays at 49km.
