Wonderfull location unfortunately the smell of the drains spoilt our experience

  • 2 of 5

On the positive side the location was lovely, peaceful and quiet and spacious. On the negative side however the kitchen wasn't thoroughly clean as it states in the guest information book. On our arrival we were unable to get rid of the awful smell coming from the kitchen sink which stayed with us for the whole of the stay. I'm surprised that those cleaning the cottage before our arrival didn't notice it.

The dish washer was unusable as it was unclean and the door didn't appear to close properly. The freezer was in desperate need of defrosting and some of the pans needed replacing as they were unfit for use.The cooker extractor fan was thick with grease and dust which we had to wash before using the cooker. As this was advertised as Luxury Cottage our expectation therefore were not met.

Owner's Response: We are really sorry to hear about the points you have raised; please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused. In our welcome email and guest book we encourage guests to contact us during their stay for any reason, so we are disappointed that you didn't report the drains to us. We could have called an emergency plumber to resolve this issue, which clearly affected your stay with us. Our cleaners did contact us about it on your departure and this has now been fixed. With regards to the extractor fan and freezer, thanks for your feedback – we’ve passed this on to our cleaners and they now check this on a regular basis. The dishwasher is clean and in perfect working order. The pans are fairly new, but we will replace where necessary, again thanks for your feedback on this.

Great house! Ideally situated.

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying here. The space was perfect for us 6 adults and three small ones, particularly the kitchen and social areas. The views over Hell’s mouth and the surrounding countryside are stunning and we found the location to be ideal for visiting the various wonders that the Llyn Peninsula has to offer. The property felt secluded without being disconnected. Would definitely recommend.

Secluded and quiet

  • 5 of 5

This cottage is perfectly situated for complete peace and quiet. The nearby beaches are incredible and were not overcrowded this time of year, (June) even with the lovely warm and sunny weather.

Beautiful location and views

  • 5 of 5

We had a really nice long weekend here. The house itself is great, high standard, nicely furnished and modern inside. The views are stunning from from inside the living room. Having a barbecue was a great option. Also a great little walk up a hill nearby and also not far from several great beaches. Would definitely come back.

Stunning house in a beautiful setting.

  • 5 of 5

Booked the house for a family get together and it was perfect, the house is stunning and spotlessly clean. We were so lucky with the weather that we mostly spent our time there outside taking in the amazing view, although it was lovely to get up early in the morning and enjoy a cup of tea looking out of the window in the lounge. It would have been nice if there had been a couple of sun loungers to use whilst the weather was so good. Really didn’t want to leave and I’m already trying to plan a return trip.
