The property was completely renovated in early 2011 in a contemporary style. It is set back from the pavement. From the front door there is a large reception room with wooden floor equipped with 3 three seater sofas 42' plasma TV and DVD. Entrance through to the large kitchen/ dining room. There is a dining table and 6 chairs. The fully equipped kitchen has granite worktops, extractor, wine cooler, integrated washing machine, dishwasher, oven and hob, microwave/grill, large fridge freezer. This leads through to the conservatory and out to the garden. At the rear of the garden there is another room with a sofa bed and desk with en suite shower and WC.

On the first floor there is a master bedroom with 5' bed and 32' plasma TV. Bedroom 2 with double bed and LCD TV. Large bathroom with separate shower. On the 2nd floor bedroom 3 has a double bed, LCD TV and en suite bathroom.

All bedrooms are equipped with ample drawers and wardrobe space. There are down lighters throughout. Free WIFI

Good for a family

This property worked well for us with our extended family. Communication with the owner was slow at times. Superficially everything was good but the property needs some TLC behind cupboard door & drawers.

There was no information folder so we had trouble accessing heating & had some electrical issues.

Brilliant

If you have a chance to rent this home, take it. Colin was really great to work with, and accommodated our schedule and flight changes. The house is exactly as represented in the pictures and descriptions -- just a charming place.

Location: the house is located 15 minutes walk away from two different Tube stations on the Piccadilly (blue) Line, and 5 minutes from at least two bus stops. Getting into the City was a breeze; we had no trouble at all. It's a quiet neighborhood on a side street; within walking distance is a corner store/bodega for basic groceries, a pub, and numerous restaurants and take-outs. Although we had a car pick us up at Heathrow when we arrived, it was just as easy to take the train to the airport when we left, even with luggage. I had some concerns about staying so far outside Central London, but it worked out wonderfully. There are some fantastic neighborhoods nearby with LOTS of restaurants of every type.

Amenities: the house had everything we needed, with a fully stocked kitchen, TVs in every bedroom, and 2 full baths. It was clean and well-kept. We had three adults and two teenagers, and there was plenty of room for everyone. It's a 3 floor house, so the stairs are a bit steep. The first floor has an eat in kitchen, and a living room. There are two double bedrooms on the 2nd floor, with a bathroom a few steps down. The third bedroom, upstairs, has another bathroom with twin beds that you can push together and another double bed. There is free WiFi. Had we stayed longer (and not been on the go so much), we probably would have hung out in the sunroom, which is lovely.

My only suggestion would be to leave a binder of useful information, like how to get to the nearest Tube stations, and how to use those appliances! I recommend downloading the CityPlanner app; once I had that, it was obvious how convenient the place was to everything. But honestly, there wasn't one thing to complain about in this house. Even the neighbors were nice.

It was a real leap of faith to rent a home in another country based only on a website, but I have to say, not only was I NOT disappointed by Colin's property, I was quite thrilled. Seriously, if you can rent this place, do. I recommend it very highly.

Excellent House with all the Amenities!

We were a group of 7 adults & 2 kids and we simply loved the house. It was very well maintained and the communication was excellent. There was plumbing issue which was dealt with almost immediately. The house is well equipped with all the utensils and other appliances. Walking distance from the 65 # bus stop on South Ealing Road (Darwin Road Bus Stop). There is a local newsagent shop at a convenient distance and a local pub few yards away. We had a wonderful & memorable stay at this house. Thanks Colin & Martin for the pleasant stay.

Pleasant place to stay in

The property was just as described and suited our family of eight adults and a two year old. I am only giving it for stars cos of o few cosmetic things. No bath mats in bathroom. Pots and pans in kitchen had seen better days especially the frying pan where the Teflon was scratched up. This is a it dangerous to cook food on. Also floors could have been cleaned better. Will still use it again for the convenience.

Ealing London house

We were a family of 8 and were well accommodated in this house. My spouse and I are in our 70's, our daughter and son-in-law plus 4 grandchildren. We had a few minor issues primarily due to differences in epuipment between US And UK. Could not understand how to get hot water in shower and had to call owner to make it work. Lost electric power about 8 times and had to call owner to locate breaker switches. Once reset, power was back on. Not sure of cause, probably 4 women with hair dryers? Wasn't able to start clothes washer and discovered it is typical in UK to unplug appliances when not in use. Suspect this is because power is 220 vs 110 in U.S. Finally found plug inside adjoining cabinet and once plugged in it worked fine. Wash time was about two hours to complete. Tube stations are a 15 minute walk or 5 minute bus ride. We had London travel passes that allowed unlimited bus and tube transport during our week. That was great, you just show the bus driver your pass or put in the turnstile and away you go! We really enjoyed our stay here as well as many of the attractions in London.

Comfortable, spacious, but not stunning

House is pretty much as described and well equipped. It met our needs for a family of 6, but would not call it stunning. Instructions on how to use appliances and connect to WiFi would have been very helpful. Good location for connecting to the tube and other public transit, but not so great if travelling to places by car since "on-street" parking is not 24 hrs. Had to find parking about 1/4 mile away. Was hoping to use the garden room, but found it very stuffy and smelling strongly from bleach/chlorine -- don't know if this was a one-off cleaning accident, but we found it unusable for our 5-day stay. Please note: staircase is narrow and shallow -- may be challenging for tall, large people or feet over size 10. Local pubs and grocery shops were convenient and friendly. Neighborhood is busy and a bit noisy at times. Owner was as accommodating as possible for an early check-in and promptly answered our questions.

This Victorian House is located on the borders of South Ealing and Brentford. It's 5 mins walk from Brentford rail station which goes to Waterloo Station in Central London about 6 times an hour. It is 15 minutes walk from South Ealing Tube on the Picadilly line. It is 8 stops to Hyde Park Corner. It is only 8 stops from Heathrow. There is free on road parking outside the property. The M4 motorway is 2 minutes away. There is a bus stop close by taking you direct to Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre, Ealing Common and nearby public open spaces. It is a very quiet residential street. There are very nice pubs, restaurants and local shops a few minutes walk from the property. It is a short walk from the River Thames and on the other side of Kew Bridge you have Kew Gardens.
