La Vieille Ferme (The Old Farmhouse) at Gayon, once a working farm, is now a tastefully renovated traditional stone longere, offering holiday breaks in Morbihan, southern Brittany. Le Grenier is a bright and spacious 2 bedroom traditional Breton stone cottage, located at the end of our longere, with a stylish, comfortable interior. The cottage overlooks a sunny and charming 18th century stone porcherie and original bread oven to the front, and has a private, enclosed garden to the rear, with its own barbecue and outdoor seating. Situated at the heart of our 7 acres of wildflower meadows, fields and woodland, it enjoys views of beautiful countryside with abundant wildlife, yet is only two minutes drive from the nearest village.
The cottage can sleep 4, and has an airy open-plan kitchen, dining room and lounge on the ground floor, with a wood-burning stove for those chillier evenings; upstairs a romantic double room with Juliet balcony, a generous twin-bedded room, and a family shower room.
There is plenty of parking on site.
A perfect couples retreat, but also ideal for small families (cot, high chair and stair gate available on request).
A generous welcome pack is provided, which includes all the basics (bread, milk, butter, tea, coffee, sugar, cooking oil, condiments) plus a few treats.
