3 bedroom, 1.5 bath cottage located in wine country with views of the lake.
Leave it all behind and escape to the most wonderful place on earth; the charming historic "gated" community of Van Buren Point on Lake Erie. Here you will find many darling cottages, each cleverly named, well cared for and loved generation after generation. But you will find that there is only one cottage that will make your trip truly unforgettable and it is a little place called Seascape.
Seascape is a beautifully upgraded, exceptionally maintained, and well equipped year-round cottage with 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms which can sleep 8. You will love the beautiful views of the bay which can be seen from the 3 season porch, living room, and the upstairs.
As you walk through the 3 season porch you will discover the stunning knotty pine interior and hard wood floors carried through out that really make this cottage stand out. The vaulted ceilings and open loft give the tastefully furnished living room a warm and inviting feeling. Accenting the room is a beautiful wood-burning fireplace for you to cozy up next to on those chilly nights.
On the first floor you will find 2 generously sized bedrooms, each with its own closet so you can make yourself right at home! There is a queen in the master and a full in the other bedroom. Conveniently located right next to the bedrooms you will find the full bathroom with a bathtub.
Off the living room you will find the large well equipped eat-in kitchen with many nice features including a double oven and dish washer.
Just off the kitchen you will discover an additional newly remodeled living/dining area. Here you can relax on the comfy new pull-out couch and watch a movie. Gather around the dining room table with seating for 6+ for a good old fashion family game night or enjoy a home-cooked meal in front of the bay window with a view of the lake.
As you leave the kitchen you will find the washer and dryer as well as a small half bath. Head up the stairs and you will see the loft and a large bedroom containing a double and two single beds.
Step outside you will discover an over-sized private fenced-in yard and a large 2 tired deck which features a private outdoor shower. Take advantage of the beautiful weather with a cook out on the large combo gas/charcoal grill and enjoy your meal on the picnic table. If you don't want to walk to the beach for a bonfire, make your own in the backyard fire pit.
After a night in one of the comfy beds, wake refreshed and ready to seize the day. Head to the porch to relax and enjoy the tranquility of the morning as you sip your coffee and watch in awe as the sun slowly begins to rise over the lake.
Head outside to enjoy all of the awesome amenities VBP has to offer. Walk or ride bikes to the beach to take a dip or do some boating. Bask in the sun and take in the gorgeous scenery as you walk the beach looking for sea glass or wood for a bonfire. When you have had enough of the beach jump on your bike and cruise to one of the many parks located in VBP. Play on the playground or play a game of tennis, sand volleyball, horseshoes, or bocce ball. After dinner take a stroll over to the beach in time to catch a spectacular sunset over the lake.
If you are in the mood for a little excursion there are plenty of things to do in the surrounding area.

Very nice stay
The cabin is beautiful and has enough spots for gathering of people. We had a great stay!
cozy, clean, comfortable, well equipped, nice deck and yard
This cottage worked well for the five of us. It was clean and well furnished. The beds were comfortable. It has a nice deck and back yard fire pit. We enjoyed walking and biking in the neighborhood.
Great cottage, clean and well equipped for vacation
We throughly enjoyed our time at the cottage even during the rainy day. The cottage had all the necessities required in the kitchen including a cork screw and a meat thermometer. The bicycles were in great shape for joy rides around the neighborhood and quick rides to the beach. The grill worked terrific and the back deck was an excellent place to have dinner.
Our only reservation would be renting the cottage after August 15 when the college kids return. The neighboring cottage was a bit lively between 2 am and 5 am but very quiet until mid day.
This property has everything. It is centrally located, super comfortable and has everything you would hope for. We loved the fire pit and outdoor shower, the fenced in yard and front porch. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of room. I would definitely recommend this property.
Seascape Cottage was a wonderful escape to a quaint little cottage and community!!
We were very pleased with the cottage and amenities that were there at our finger tips. It is a truly wonderful place and community to stay! It had everything we wanted and more. My husband, myself and my three daughters enjoyed our stay. We have been going away for Memorial weekend for 7 years now and this is one that we will definitely make a return visit to. We were only half an hour from the Erie Wine trail which is what we wanted to visit. There are many places to eat and shop that are not far from where we stayed. We enjoyed watching the stars and cooking smores at the firepit in the yard sitting on the Adirondack chairs that were provided! The owners were very pleasant when we texted information. We will definitely return again and tell our friend about this cottage.
This cute little cottage is located one house back from the lake but has great views. Adorable on both the outside & inside of the home. Had everything you'd expect for a vacation rental plus extra items you would only find in your own home. All we had to do was unpack and purchase groceries.
We rented for a week and had invited a few of our family members for a mini family reunion (there were seven of us). They spent two days & one night. The cottage provided plenty of sleeping spaces (1 queen bed, 2 full size beds, 2 twins & a queen size sleeper sofa). It had a nice size living room & family room w/dining table & a good size eat-in kitchen. We really enjoyed the fenced backyard, fire pit, deck area & grill. There was a really nice outside shower but it was still to cool to use it this time. There were bikes in the shed as well as other outside beach type gear & games for our use.
The sunrises & sunsets were incredible as we strolled or biked around this quaint little lake front community. Very relaxing! The kitchen, bathrooms & laundry area had recently been remodeled and were lovely (I believe we were the first to use the cottage since its completion).
Van Buren Point is located only 5 minutes from Dunkirk, about 1.5 hours from Buffalo International Airport and 2 hours from Niagara Fall. Walmart as well as a few other grocery stores are located in Dunkirk (about a 10 min. drive). Many great wineries in the area as well. Lots of quaint little villages/towns for day trips, if you like to enjoy the local flair.
I would highly recommend this cottage. It was adorable, well maintained, perfect location for us, plenty of room to accommodate our extended family & ourselves, and the owner, Rachel, was very friendly and responded quickly to our needs.
Looking forward to re-visiting this cottage again in the future.
