This modern home is a luxury apartment offering every comfort for the discerning holidaymaker. Leather sofas, satellite TV, built-in kitchen appliances and to top it all a fantastic sea view through the patio windows that lead on to the large balcony.
The stunning lounge is furnished with your comfort in mind. It has satellite TV, DVD player, radio/CD and ipod player, whilst the modern kitchen and dining area is equipped for your convenience. Built-in appliances include electric oven, 4 ring gas hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. With a microwave and all other kitchen utensils supplied, all you need do is turn up and relax.

Continued from top of page: Along the hall are 2 large bedrooms. The main bedroom has a double bed plus plenty of wardrobe and drawer space for your holiday outfits. It has the added luxury of its own en-suite. The second bedroom is a large room with two single beds, again, having more than ample space for your holiday wardrobe. Completing the apartment is a large, fully tiled bathroom having bath as well as a separate shower cubicle.
Outside the apartment is an appointed car space and, for your enjoyment, a communal garden adjoining the cliff top.
The apartment itself is in a super location in Shanklin, recently named one of the sunniest resorts in the British Isles. Being only 5 minutes walk from this olde world village with its thatched cottages and tea-rooms, 4 minutes walk from the entrance to Shanklin Chine and 3 minutes walk from the path down to the safe, sandy beach, the only problem you’ll have on holiday is deciding where to spend the day.
You’ll be spoilt for choice in the evenings, too, with a number of good quality pubs and restaurants in the village, as well as the usual ‘take-aways’. If you’d rather travel further afield, the island is home to some top class eateries where you may find yourself dining alongside some well-known celebrities.
Shanklin is our favourite place on the island because it has so much to offer - a glorious sea front with golden sands, a cliff top walk, a lovely Chine that meanders through gardens to the sea front, parks and gardens a-plenty and of course the Olde Village with all its character. Thatched tea-rooms, thatched pubs, thatched shops - it's all here, but further afield there's Godshill, a favourite tourist spot, Culver Cliff with glorious views across Sandown and Shanklin as well as St Helens and Bembridge. Cowes and Yarmouth both famous for yachting, Ventnor, a Victorian seaside resort, Sandown with its zoo on the sea front, Alum Bay with its coloured sand cliffs, The famous Needles - far too much to see in a week - its a piece of unspoilt Old England with the best sunshine record in the UK.
When we were looking to purchase a property we looked at several in Shanklin before we viewed this one. We walked into the lounge and it just had that wow factor - the view was terrific and compared to many is so spacious. We defy anyone not to be impressed when they're inside this apartment.
Huge balcony with a great sea view - lovely to sit in the sunshine relaxing. Lounge is large and light and the bedrooms are spacious. We have never seen such a large bathroom - a bath and a separate shower cubicle and plenty of room to dance around! It also has the added luxury of an en-suite to the master bedroom.
Location is quiet yet so convenient for everywhere. We may be biased but we think its perfect!
Just wanted to say thank you for the use of your lovely apartment, it really surpassed our expectations, so clean and comfortable, a real home from home. The bedrooms are really quite spacious, particularly the master which had more than enough room for our little grandson's travel cot. My daughter-in-law was particularly taken with the power shower in the en-suite which she wanted to take home with her!
I liked very much the open-plan layout of the kitchen/dining/lounge area, again spacious, bright and airy with the two big patio doors. It was nice to cook and talk to the family at the same time, not something I can do in my small kitchen at home. No problems at all with the balcony and our little 3 year old as he was only allowed out there when we were with him and we kept the doors locked at all other times to prevent him sneaking out.
Lovely walks into Shanklin to stroll around the shops (took the short cut by the Chine) and several times down the cliff path to the huge beach.
We had a fantastic mini-break and were so lucky with the weather, especially the Saturday and Sunday, when it was glorious. Drove to Godshill village which was so beautiful and had a delicious lunch at The Essex followed by a cream tea at the place with the big garden down the road (cant remember the name).
Will definitely be coming back again, for longer next time. Can't think why anyone would want to stay in B&B really, when they can rent a whole apartment for less and get so much more for their money.

The apartment is amazingly spacious and is fully equipped with everything you need for that home from home experience.
It is very well placed, a short walk from both the centre of Shanklin as well as the beach and promenade area.
We were lucky enough to enjoy good weather, so it was nice to take advantage of the apartment balcony, where you get a great sea view and a chance to take in the fresh sea air.
We have stayed in a number of places on the Isle of Wight previously but we have never found anywhere as nice to stay as this. We will definitely stay here again.
The apartment is spacious, bright and uncluttered. It has all of the facilities that we required. It has a large balcony and a good view towards Culver Cliff (for a bigger view, take a walk in the communal garden). The apartment is in a quiet, smart location, yet just a 10 minute walk to Old Shanklin. We recommend the pies at Vernon Cottage, and the lunches at Old World Tearoom in Godshill. Don't miss Godshill Model Village - fantastic attention to detail and beautifully maintained.
This lovely apartment is an ideal base from which to explore the island. It is within easy walking distance of all the amenities in Shanklin Old Village and the extremely helpful owners have thought of everything you could possibly need for a comfortable, relaxing holiday. Would definitely recommend to family and friends and just wish, having been visiting the island for many years, that we'd found this place sooner.
The apartment was all we hoped for. Spacious, light and airy and equipped with everything we needed. It is very comfortable and very well furnished. Already missing breakfast on the balcony. A short walk into Shanklin for lunch and a relaxing drink in the evening - lovely.
We most certainly would come again.
We had a lovely holiday - the apartment was very spacious and in a great location for getting around the island. The owner was very helpful and friendly. View of the sea was lovely from the balcony and you could sit out in the sunshine in the mornings. I would recommend the apartment to anyone wanting to explore the island. Ventnor Gardens were beautiful and not to far away - well worth a visit.
This is excellent accommodation, so roomy and spotlessly clean. We would have no hesitation in recommending a stay here.It is very conveniently situated for Shanklin Village and shops.The booking itself through Bev was easy and she is very helpful.We have visited the Island many times and hope to be able to return to this particular Apartment.
Our apartment is situated in a superb location with sea views. It is on the coastal path between Ventnor to the south and Sandown to the north. 5 min walk will take you to the old village with its thatched tea rooms and restaurants. Just down the road is Rylstone Gardens with its bandstand and also the entrance to Shanklin Chine, a truly wonderful walk through leafy glades which is illuminated during the summer evenings. At the foot of the Chine is Fishermans Cottage, the pub on the beach (which can also be reached by coastal path, just an 8 min walk from our apartment).
Buses run frequently around the island with open-topped as an option. The nearest bus stop is 2- 3 min walk down the road alongside a large open park which has its own pond and ducks.
The island has many attractions for both adults and children alike including Osborne House, the favourite seaside home of Queen Victoria.
