A roomy three Bedroomed house oozing with characher , an adjoining but completely separate 1bed "Upside Down " House and a Cosy Cottage for two in the grounds comprise The Landmark Holiday Lets at Aughris, Sligo, This a quiet seaside location with great sandy beaches and wonderful views of the sea and mountains. This is an area of unspoilt natural beauty. The location is particularly suited to families or to Walking, Golf or Surfing enthusiasts who want a central base to sample what Sligo has to offer. A major attraction nearby is the Beach Bar, an authentic old world pub/restaurant which is only 12 minutes walk from the house.
We have been operating the very popular Beach House and Annex in Aughris since 2006 and are now delighted to offer another property of the same high standard in this fabulous location.
This newly renovated house ( formerly Battles shop) is located directly on the Wild Atlantic Way and it will not disappoint . The location is unbeatable. The three bedrooms of the main house are especially spacious ( each one could easily take 2 double beds) and the large garden at the rear is a delightful place to unwind or kick a ball around.
Whilst the bedrooms in the 3bed unit can comfortably sleep 8, the living space is more suited to 6 people.
The 1bed Upside Down house can comfortably accommodate 4 sleeping two in one double bed and a further two on the sofa bed in the living room
The delightful Cosy Cottage (perfect for two) is not currently listed here.

About Sheila McDermott
We are a family of 4, living on a working farm in Sligo . We are fortunate to live in a coastal area of outstanding natural beauty on the Wild Atlantic Way and have been providing luxury self-catering in Sligo since 2006 – see links. Since then we have expanded our property offerings according as we sourced those special places
Sheila McDermott purchased this House in 2016
Why Sheila McDermott chose Sligo
This former shop ( Battles) is in a fantastic location directly on the Wild Atlantic Way at Aughris Junction. When we bought it , it was in dire need of some tlc which we have lavished on it over the past 18 months as we could see it's potential from the start. It is full of character with great big bedrooms, fantastic sea views from upstairs and a huge garden at the rear.
What makes this House unique
It's so well located. We have year-round guests at our other Aughris property (Beach House ) and know how much they love the location. The proximity to both the coast and the pub (also serving food) , as well as being pet friendly ticks all the boxes for our many repeat guests. The old style bedrooms are large and roomy and we particularly like the high ceilings upstairs. We know from experience how much guests enjoy excellent views. Larger groups have the option to book both the 3bed and 1bed units. ( with our Beach House 1.5km away a further option for larger groups )

Stunning location, highly recommended.
With great views of Benbulben and Knocknarea, this is a great spot. Very handy for a number of beaches, Aughris pier and The Beach Bar. It was perfect for our extended family to get together and have a great time. Excellent facilities.
Charming house. Quiet location
Shiela was a lovely host. Very accomodating. Charming pub & beach down the road. Very quiet location. House was tidy.
The house was very clean and functional. We enjoyed our stay. Being near the ocean was a plus.
Sheila was very nice to us. She went above and beyond to help me find my second cousin. She even came and led us to her when we had trouble finding her. It was a nice property.
Beautiful setting for family holiday (1yr old, 6yr old, 4 adults including disabled as well as multiple dogs). Large shared garden that the kids and dogs loved, luckily we had wonderful holiday neighbours next door who tried to keep gates closed for us for peace of mind. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back in future when kids are a little older. Close to beautiful beaches and plenty to do within driving distance. But if you want peace and quiet I highly recommend. Nearby Dromore has a lovely pub with great food and the service was excellent. Beautiful scenery all about with plenty of opportunities for exploration. The owner was very pleasant and accommodating, often on hand for any questions, recommendations or concerns. Thank you.
Cute vacation home with everything we needed available.Spacious bedrooms. Very comfortable beds. Hostess was very friendly and receptive. Great location. Really enjoyed my stay there and would definitely return if have the chance again. Thank you.
We had a lovely few days at the Landmark. The house suited our needs perfectly and was close to some wonderful walks. The beach bar was very handy and Sheila was extremely helpful. Pity about the weather but that's an Irish summer for you.
Less that 2kms to Aughris Head, one of the recognised beauty spots on the Wild Atlantic Way. 1.5kms to Beach Bar Aughris an ever-popular authentic old-world pub/restaurant.
