About Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe has been my playground for 20 years. With all the traveling I’ve done, there is nothing compared to the amenities and beauty the Tahoe basin has to offer. I purchased my first home here in 1992 and decided to share it with others when not in use. I now offer other homes for your enjoyment. Each have hot tubs, most with pool tables and in locations that allows easy access to the Lake and Ski resorts. They were purchased for vacation rentals and are designed to be user friendly with all the amenities of home. I have a full time staff that includes cleaning, maintenance and will respond within 24 hours for all your needs. Feel free to call me about my other homes, or to just to discuss the perfect ski run on the perfect day.

Lake Tahoe purchased this house in 1995

Why Lake Tahoe chose Lake Tahoe North Shore

Can't beat the summer or winter here!

What makes this house unique

I love my morning walks on the multitude of forest trails from the house. You can walk to the Lake, or up to the Tahoe rim trail right out the front door. There are also nice paths with great views of the Lake. The neighborhood is super quiet, yet right up the street from the Lake at Kings Beach, and easy drive to all the ski resorts. Northstar is the closest, but I ski Alpine and Squaw which is all highway going the back way. I miss all the traffic in Tahoe City and can get there is 15 minutes. Its also nice being right in the middle of the North Shore and can go anywhere easily even over to Heavenly Valley.

The house has a nice aura about it. Its sunny and welcoming. Its great to sit on the couch with the fire going and watch it snow through the huge windows. Its like you're outside! In the summertime, I'll keep the sliders open and spent all day on the deck.

I like good bedding especially after a long day skiing, so I keep this a priority in all my homes. The bedrooms are nice and big... great for all my stuff that I usually bring when I visit here. The kitchen and dining area really promotes entertaining which I've done many times here. It great to all hang out in the Great Room and all be doing something else, but all together.

Can't say enough about soaking in the hot tub on the deck.... but I also love the jetted tub in the Master to get away from my group for a moment.

I live in San Diego, and frequent my home as often as possible. I always feel so relaxed and sad when I leave here.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Sandy's beautiful mountain home slept 13 adults comfortably. We loved the North Lake Tahoe location, near the King's Beach / Tahoe City area. My friends and I had a wonderful weekend skiing at Squaw and Alpine resorts. Northstar is also very nearby. The hot tub and cozy fireplace were so nice to come back to after a day on the slopes. The big dining table sat 10+, which was great for group dinners. Sandy was easy to contact and made sure we had all the proper instructions for a wonderful stay at the house.

Comfortable House with everything you need for a nice getaway

  • 5 of 5

The house was great, with very comfortable beds. We enjoyed the hot tub and had easy access to everything on the north side of Lake Tahoe.

Great house, great location, will try to come back soon!

  • 5 of 5

This beautiful house fit 10 men comfortably, not an easy task. The only drawback being the last few to shower got cold water... To be expected.

Hot tub worked well, the owner was extremely quick in helping us power cycle the unit to reset the heater as it kept throwing an error code. Once the solution was found though, an easy problem to fix.

The location is great, tucked away in a quiet neighborhood yet just a quick drive to the water, market, and mountains.

Let me also just say, the beds are amazing. A few of my friends and I all walked into the kitchen after the first night and immediately said "was your bed as comfortable as mine?" Idk what kind of mattresses those are, but they're heavenly. Even though we rode at Squaw ;)

Great place for a large family

  • 5 of 5

Great place for a large family in Lake Tahoe. Close to downtown, the mountain, good restaurants, etc. The house is very well equipped. We were a family of 10 with two grandchildren. We were up for a family wedding. It was wonderful to have a space where we could all be together. Lots of space to spread out. Large living room, a pool table and hot tub. Fun place. Comfortable place. Would definitely go back again.

The property was well kept and clean.

  • 5 of 5

The house was perfect for our family. There was plenty of room for all of us although when I booked the house I stated there would be 10 of us, however because of work schedules and such we never had more than 9 people in the house. It was close to the beach and grocery store.

I would certainly recommend this house to my friends. I would rent this house again in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed Lake Tahoe.

Vacation in Lake Tahoe

  • 5 of 5

Ten of us, in 3 generations of the family, all from the eastern slope of Colo.,spent 5 superb days skiing, snowshoeing, eating, watching basketball tournament games, playing games, and thoroughly enjoying this get-away home. Everything was "as advertised". The owner was very helpful in answering questions about the home beforehand, and the local contact (part of the owner family) called to see if all was well after we had settled in. I (we) would enthusiastically recommend this property to any group similar to ours. I hope we can do a repeat performance next year!

Cozy

  • 4 of 5

Nice house. My one complaint is the EXTREMELY squeaky bed frame in the downstairs master bedroom. Don't bother sleeping in there if you have kids. It squeaks, and loudly if any movement is made.

Otherwise, cozy home, clean and inviting.

Owner does warn you to watch out for falling ice and snow off the roof out front. Don't take that warning lightly as we watched mounds of snow and thick ice fall too the ground. If our cars were under that or if a person under that it would not have ended well!

Owner's Response: Thanks for your input on the bed frame. We have since replaced the bed frame. In the spring, the snow melts fast and tends to shift. The snow is removed from the overhang, but I ask tenants not to park under it. There is parking in front of the house and on driveway. The heat tape and commercial rain gutter installed in Aug/2016 will melt the snow on the eves and eliminate snow falling at once.

This house is in the middle of the Northshore and has easy access to all Lake Tahoe has to offer. 1.5 miles from the highway, getting around the Tahoe Basin is effortless. The drive around the Lake is breathtaking and you'll enjoy the different little towns that surround the Lake. . The house is in a quiet pocket of homes just up from the Lake at Kings Beach .All the homes here sit on a meadow with tall pine trees, and the roads dead end at the hiking trails. Winter and summer they are used and maintained by the forest service. It borders the Tahoe Rim trail which is a destination for some with endless hiking trails you can access from the house. Brockway Summit is well know for its path to Tahoe City, and Watson Lake is worth hiking too. You can walk in the summertime to our neighborhood park, North National Park. The park encompasses approximately 124 acres of predominantly active recreational activities. An 18 par fitness course, ball fields, Frisbee Golf, playground are just a few options. In the wintertime they offer a nice sledding hill for tubing and snow fun. Within 20 min to all the ski resorts on the North Shore, Northstar in the closest and newest village. The village was modeled after Beaver Creek Colorado...cobblestone sidewalks, copper roofs and a multitude of restaurants and shops that line the 'square'. The square is an ice skating rink in the wintertime and roller skating in summer. The bon fire pits and outdoor bars are always there. Its a wonderful setting to hang out at especially at night. Skiing here is family orientated with lots of ski programs for all ages, and a pristine mountain that keeps a good grasp on good snow conditions. If your staying a week, I highly recommend taking advantage of the other resorts also. A bonus is from the house you can drive the back way to Alpine and Squaw Valley which will eliminate the morning traffic through Tahoe City. Both mountains have tons of excellent skiing, and mountain biking in the summertime. MT Rose is where to go for open terrain, Diamond Peak for kids and an easy day skiing. Both are 15 min to the house. In the summertime, Kings Beach just down the street is a State Park with lifeguard and lake toys to rent. The beach is the highlight with wide sandy beaches, and views you have to experience to appreciate. There are also smaller beaches up and down the strip for reading a book, and dog beaches for your loved ones. Brockway golf course in Kings Beach is a must for those that just want a good time. One of the top 9 hole courses in California, its known for its yardage and views. In the wintertime the course becomes a snowmobiling park. Tahoe City is 12 miles away and offers another nice city with shops, restaurants and outdoor venues. The Truckee River is our playground for fishing, river rafting, and bike baths to view all. A nice day is renting your bike in Tahoe City and riding to River Ranch. This is a river front restaurant with large outdoor patio at the entrance to Alpine Meadows. Here is where the river tours end and usually where the rafts have issues. You can spend the day here watching the rafters and enjoying their menu and drink. Between the location , amenities of the house, and your favorite family or friends, you'll have a great home to stay at while getting a true Lake Tahoe experience.
