Charming south facing open plan ground floor apartment located in a quiet & peaceful residential area but only a couple minutes by car to the town centre, marina, beaches, supermarkets and train/bus stations or 15 minutes if walking. Set in beautiful mature gardens with a lovely patio just a few steps away from the large swimming pool.

Ideal for those wanting to enjoy all that Lagos has to offer in the summer. Peaceful for long term rents in the winter months.

THE APARTMENT

This lovely apartment includes 2 bedrooms, two bathrooms, a newly furbished kitchen and a dining/living area. The apartment is comfortably furnished and has all the necessary equipment for a holiday. Local TV and free Wi-fi is also available. It is located in a small complex of 24 privately owned apartments.

WINTER LETS

Popular for winter lets which are available from November to March. A quick weekly clean and change of sheets and towels included at no extra cost. For long term winter stays utilities will be charged as used and paid for through the Homeaway platform.

MEET AND GREET

Owners will meet all guests on arrival and give tips on how to make the most of their stay in Lagos. Thereafter guests will be given their privacy and space to enjoy their holiday but are only a call or text message away if they need any assistance or information.

Check in is from 4pm until 10pm

Late arrivals after 10pm pay a €25 surcharge.

GETTING AROUND

The apartment is minutes away by car from the beaches, town centre, marina, and supermarket, railway station & bus depot.

The apartment is approximately a 20-25 minute walk from the town centre and beaches. If you're a walker then you could easily rent without a car if you wanted to just focus on experiencing and exploring Lagos. However, we recommend a car in order to explore the beautiful surrounding areas close to Lagos or further along the Algarve. For families with children and those that don't like walking we recommend they rent a car.

Lagos is easy to reach from Faro or Lisbon airport with direct bus routes.

ABOUT LAGOS

One of the most popular towns in the Algarve, Lagos is a top holiday destination and has it all! From history to culture, beaches and climate to a lively, easygoing and friendly atmosphere all year round. Steeped in history it was from here that Henry the navigator set sail on his discoveries along with many other Portuguese explorers.

A walk across the Marina footbridge will lead you into the heart of the old town where you will find a very quaint typical Portuguese town with narrow cobbled streets and many shops, bars and restaurants and entertainment. Here you can experience the raw authenticity of Portugal, the daily fish market, the local Tasca, the smell of grilled sardines and seafood toasting on the grill, tiled houses, the clear blue skies and the warm hospitable people.

There are many places of interest to visit such as museums, churches, historical monuments and a mini-zoo for the children. Activities are endless in and around Lagos and include boat trips, dolphin tours, fishing, surfing, diving, kayaking, golf and much more. Lagos is also very popular for hiking and walking trips.

CLIMATE

The Algarve, situated on the extreme South of Portugal, offers gorgeous sandy beaches and glorious sunshine nearly all year-round. With around 300 days of sunshine a year and idyllic temperatures averaging 14ºC in winter and 25ºC in summer - and rarely going below 10ºC during winter and reaching as high as 28ºC or 30ºC in July and August.

Although we left your Albardeira apartment already two weeks ago it is

to us like only yesterday.



We enjoyed our stay in your very well maintained and comfortable

apartment a lot and had a good time there. Besides, Lagos is a very good

place for a holiday and we liked it better than the other (big) cities

on the coast we visited.



Special thanks to José for his good ideas where to go and what to see,

and also for interesting explanations of tourism of the Algarve coast

etc. which we appreciated a lot.



After leaving your apartment we travelled along the Algarve coast to the

Spanish border and followed the Rio Guadiana to Mertola, where we spent

two days, and from there to Lisbon, where we also spent some days. So we finally came back home last week.



We will recommend your apartment to our friends who have already

travelled on the Algarve coast but have not been to Lagos.





Thanks a lot again for a great stay, and perhaps we come again one day

(when I am retired and have more time for travelling ;-) ).

Lovely, relaxing villa

We are 4 friends who had a wonderful time in Carla and Jose's villa. The apartment had everything we needed and was very spacious with two bathrooms which was perfect. The villa was quiet and we were the only ones using the sun loungers by the pool the whole time.

Whilst it says a car is preferable we were fine just walking around. It's a short walk to the train station, closest supermarket and marina. The beaches and town are a little bit further but still within walking distance and even a taxi back from town was only about €5

The area is stunning with great restaurants that suit all dietary requirements.

Jose gave us lots of local information upon our arrival which was very helpful. If I come back to lagos I would definitely stay here again

Lovely & quiet relaxing stay

Had a lovely two weeks spent in the pool with walks in to Lagos and down to Meia Praia. Carla and Jose are very welcoming and we had no problems communicating during booking or during our stay. The apartment complex seemed quiet when we were there, we could always get a bed by the pool and often had the pool to ourselves. There was plenty of room in the apartment for the three of us and we found it had everything we needed. Had a great time, sad to leave.

Nice holiday apartment in good location

The apartment is located in a facility of 24 apartments which are in a quite area but closed to the beaches, Lagos Centre and to a nice supermarket. The facility is in a very good condition and has a big pool and another small pool for smaller children. The holiday apartment has two bathrooms, a well equipped kitchen, two sleeping rooms and a living room. In front of the living room is a terrace which can be used for eating.

The owners are very friendly and can give helpful information to restaurants, beaches and other things around Algarve. Only the double bed was a little bit to slim for us. Standard bed dimensions would be more convenient. However, the apartment is a clear recommendation for relaxing holidays at a beautiful place.

Great pool and Garden area...but

Carla and Jose guided us by phone to the apartment as there were lots of road works on the N 125. They gave us good general advise regarding the area and eating places in Lagos and the marina area. The garden and pool areas are beautiful and so peaceful. I found you need a car to get around as there is rather a large hill to climb on your return from the town etc. The apartment was deceptively large but every internal door tended to stick and my wife got stuck in the bathroom 2 or 3 times. The beds were extremely hard to sleep on and we had some really uncomfortable nights. Lovely couple and to be fair Jose said he was not aware of the internal door problems and would get them looked at but overall the apartment is said to be "traditional" but in reality could do with an upgrade.

Very nice apartment in lovely quiet situation

Lovely apartment situate in a quiet situation with secluded private garden area with swimming pool. It is very comfortable and well equipped. It is within easy walking distance of the marina and the town centre. Lagos is a very nice town with a historic central area and beautiful beaches. Car beneficial for exploring the surrounding areas with many worthwhile places to see
