About Pam Sitz

I bought this home for me, my children and their families and extended family to enjoy! We all love every moment we get to be there. This is not your typical rental with limited furnishings. I furnished it so me and my family could feel totally at home! Everyone is amazed how comfortable they feel from the moment they get here.

Pam Sitz purchased this house in 2015

Why Pam Sitz chose Waynesville

It is a beautiful, well appointed home with amazing mountain and pastoral views! It stands out from many standard rentals since it is set-up with all the amenities of home and more! It is in a rural quiet community but close to historic Waynesville, Canton and a quick drive to all that Asheville has to offer! Mountains, waterfalls, hiking, golfing are all just minutes away. It is a short drive to get on the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway and all it has to offer. You can enjoy a day of activities and come back and have dinner on the porch, sit around the gas fire pit and make precious memories! But you may never want to leave this home after you enjoy the views, and feel the cool breezes as you watch the birds, especially the hummingbirds, watching the cows and calves graze in the nearby pastures!

Notes:
This home has changed listing number in Feb 2016. It was rented starting July 2015 under a different number. It had all 5 star reviews. Some of the reviews have said: "We use VRBO frequently for travel. This home was by far one of the best we have stayed in. It is in a very quiet area of the mountains. Peaceful setting. The house was very clean and had all the necessary items for cooking. We stayed the week of Thanksgiving 2015. Would recommend for family with children or just to get away. Beautiful !!!! " "We had a wonderful time at this vacation rental... It was nice to go to the mountains and be able to see them all around you from the front porch. The house had plenty of room, a nice layout and was actually nicer than the pictures online could capture." "I recently had the pleasure to stay in this lovely home and spent a lot of the time sitting on the porch... The house is very well appointed, and the beds are extremely comfortable. A lovely home. I highly recommend it,"

A little slice of heaven

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful home, in such a beautiful setting... We were fortunate to stay in this lovely home for eight nights; our only regret is that we could not stay longer.

Everything about this home is special... from the huge, wrap-around porch filled with comfy furniture, a sweet wicker porch swing, and dozens of pretty pillows (a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee, a book, or a glass of wine in the evening), to the unbelievably comfortable beds where you will drift off to sleep while listening to the rain on the roof and the birds chirping in the trees at the end of a perfect day... It is all lovely; just perfectly lovely... It is like a little dream; one that we were sad to have to wake up from...

Everything you need or want for your stay is there in the home. Unlike some other vacation homes that we have rented, the kitchen has all the small appliances and accoutrements that you could possibly need; and you can tell that it was thoughtfully purchased for this home, rather than being a hodge-podge of stuff picked up at a garage sale or the Goodwill, in order to save money on "the second house". It is obvious that a great deal of thought, love and attention to detail went into setting up, arranging, decorating, and landscaping this home. All you need to bring is your clothing, your personal car items, and any food and beverages you need to sustain yourselves- everything else is already there.

The owner, Pam, has an eye for, and a way of, decorating that brings each piece of furniture, and each little piece of decor together in a way that just makes the home feel like, well, "HOME". It is kind of a timeless feel... you can't tell if the home is old and very lovingly and beautifully and perfectly maintained, or if it's a new home that was just made to feel like it's been a part of the landscape forever. It just feels timeless...

Speaking of time... While we were staying there, time seemed to stand still. The rest of the world, and all of the stress and hassle or our busy lives, just melted away. We literally spent entire days and nights, just sitting on tne porch; watching the birds, gazing at the clouds and the mist over the green, green mountains, and sipping a glass of wine. We spent hours upon hours sitting there without saying a word, and without thinking about, or worrying about, anything in our lives. It was SO relaxing, and so magical.

I could go on, but I guess I am out of characters...

The house and our stay were perfect!

Wonderful Home

  • 5 of 5

This home was ideal for our family of 5 adults and 4 1/2 year old.grandson.. We loved Waynesville — and Asheville being so close by too. We even had a couple of inches of snow the first morning. This house was very handicap friendly. Would definitely consider staying again.

Three couples enjoyed this peaceful, beautiful location in the vicinity of Waynesville and Ashville.

  • 5 of 5

This home and location were just what I was hoping they would be when I flew from Oregon to North Carolina in November. However, Mother Nature had already shed the fall leaves so we missed out on the fall foliage display that the area is known for. Now we know to arrive a couple weeks earlier to enjoy the fall show. This home is spacious and lovely. Even though we spent the last 5 days of November here we were still able to eat on the surround porch and watch both the sunrise over the mountains and sunset in the west. I would stay here if ever I return to this part of North Carolina again. Thank you for your southern hospitality,

Beautiful house, beautiful view

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful house; beautiful view; beautiful grounds and landscaping; impeccably clean; decorated better than any home in any magazine or on any tv show I've ever seen; kitchen had every dish, utensil, appliance, cleaning product you would ever need; wish we could have stayed longer; extremely reasonable price for the time of year (early November 2017). My husband, my adult son and daughter-in-law, and my daughter loved everything about the house. "Mom, it's so you!!"
