Available only in 7 night blocks, flexible on changeover day where possible
Harri, Jem, and family are UK based, owning this lovely private villa, which we use for our own family holidays. Our intention is to make our home as friendly to visiting families as it is for us. We offer a home from home atmosphere, with many facilities, not normally experienced in typical holiday lets; DVDs, Books, Games, toys, Infant Equipment (cot, buggie, high chair etc.) and beach equipment.
Owner purchased this Villa in 2003
Why Owner chose Calvià
El Toro is a quiet residential area, very near, but not too near, to traditional holiday venues. The property offers a more private situation, with the pool at the back of the property. Being on a hill side, the views from the top terrace are stunning, over a local golf course to the mountains beyond. This property is best suited to family groups
What makes this Villa unique
A truly, home from home feel, with lots of kitchen equipment, and quality items, more like your private home than a holiday let.
100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
Great location next to Port Adriano
The location next to Port Adriano is perfect. The house is extremely well stocked with everything you can need, including towels, goggles, pool float, garbage bags, etc. There is a Washer and Dryer and small but nice pool. You can walk into the main street and / or the beach. All in all, a perfectly adequate villa with very responsive hosts.
A few CONS to be aware of:
There is NO Air conditioning upstairs and it is extraordinarily hot. If you are used to air conditioning, it is almost impossible to be upstairs cooking. We rented an AC unit for the upstairs which helped alot.
Thank you for your review, Jasmyn. We really welcome feedback. So pleased that you enjoyed your stay and that we provided well for you and your family.
As this is the first season with Air Conditioning, we are reviewing all of our guests' comments. and will be considering whether it should be extended throughout, amongst other enhancements to the experience.
Hoping to welcome you to our villa again, sometime.
Fantastic Place for a Family Holiday
Without going into many details, Harriet and Jem stepped in when our previously booked and paid for villa fell through just days before we flew out.
Set in a quiet spot about 5 mins walk from the main strip in El Toro, the pictures on the website do not do this villa any justice; that's not because the pictures are poor, more because this is a truly lovely home. From the roadside it looks a little on the small side, but cross the threshold and it's more like the TARDIS, complete with veranda, pool and sun-terrace. On the first floor is the living room, kitchen diner and the veranda, whilst down stairs are the bedrooms, laundry - oh yes and the more than inviting pool, BBQ and the sun terrace.
We spent every morning on the veranda taking in the views, having breakfast and planning the day. Whether taking a walk into Port Adriano, relaxing in one of the choice of bars, or simply relaxing by the pool.
Within El Toro there's a Spar, and a great choice of shops including a fantastic bakery, a green grocer, and a butcher as good as you'll find anywhere. Indeed on the walk into El Toro, there's a great little viewpoint, overlooking the port at which we stopped pretty much every time. There are also a number of other small shops around the Placa Migdia, and more boutique style shops around the port.
As small as the village may be, there are no shortage of places to eat out either around Placa Migdia, on the main strip of El Toro, or in Port Adriano itself. Cal Pulga offers a great range of tapas, whilst the Anchor offers a more British styled breakfasts, lunches and black rock cook-your-own evening meals. However, in all cases the welcome is welcoming and friendly.
The kitchen is a nice size and really well equipped, and is ideal not only for preparing breakfasts in the morning sun ... but for doing a fantastic meal in the early evening shade. During our stay we spent a good portion of our time on the balcony/veranda, which because of the great weather kind of became the heart of the house (even though its outside).
From the minute we arrived, we enjoyed the holiday, right up to the moment we closed the door behind us ... we were truly sad to be leaving! This is in no small part because of the Villa.
Thank you to you both for allowing us to stay in your home.
Absolutely perfect and recommendable!
We had a very nice stay in this Villa.
Absolutely everything was perfect. At the beginning we had a little trouble because we gave the wrong number of persons. But the house keepers were very kind and immediately brought us the bed linen. We were very excited how easy the check in was.
There is a very friendly neighbour which offered us some help if there are any problems.
We would come back!
Thank you for all!
Greetings from germany

El Toro is a residential village with a range of shops, bars and restaurants within it. The marina of Port Adriana, offers even more restaurants, and concerts during the high season. Use of a car is not necessary as the child friendly, El Toro beach, which has lifeguards, bars and restaurants, is 15 minutes walk, or 5 Euros taxi. The area is quiet, family orientated.
