About Barbara Diamond
After spending many summers vacationing here, we decided to buy the house as a place we could eventually retire to and in the meantime spend time away from the cold & snowy winters in Pennsylvania. We love Hilton Head because of its beauty and serenity, the beach, the sunny days and the opportunities for outdoor life even during the winter. Hilton Head is a family friendly, upscale vacation resort community with loads of things to do for entertainment for adults and children or a serene place to relax.
Barbara Diamond purchased this House in 2008
Why Barbara Diamond chose Heritage Woods
From the moment we walked in the front door to the screened in soaring atrium lanai we knew this was the place for us. The architect designed the interior rooms to open out to the pool through banks of French doors from every room on the ground floor. This is the centerpiece of the house and we could see many happy times with our children & grandchildren enjoying this space - which has indeed come true. The pool area has seating under cover so even in the rain you can enjoy being outdoors. There is even a fireplace for chilly evenings around the pool (one in the living room too). The bar with flat screen TV offers viewing from the pool, spa or seating area (We like to sit in the spa with a glass of wine & catch up on the evening news). And, the screening means you can serve meals & sit around in the evening without being annoyed by insects.
What makes this House unique
We love being here because the house offers so much that we enjoy - the natural landscape and wildlife around the lagoon, the light & open space from its distinctive architecture that brings the outside in through the walls of French doors, the ample kitchen that creates happy memories of cooking together, and the bike path just steps away that takes us all over by bike or foot. Walk or bike to restaurants, marinas with all manner of watersports, boutique shopping, the beach & full service beach club, three gold courses all within a mile or two.

Perfect home for our work hard/play harder retreat!
My team and I spent a relaxing and productive week at this beautiful home. The owner and management staff were very accommodating and responsive to our needs! We will definitely have this home at the top of our list for our next retreat!
Great place for a large group vacation
Lovely home. Great pool area and kitchen. Close to Bike trails. Needs new can opener.
Loved Island Oasis!
We loved our stay on the Sea Pines Resort in our "Oasis". It truly was! As soon as you walk through the front door, you are in the courtyard where the pool and hot tub are. Beautiful! This is where we spent the majority of our stay as the beach was very windy and still a bit too chilly in April! The pool was comfortably warm, even though we did not have it heated. Barbara suggested that it would be warm enough not to heat and she was right! The hot tub was great, too! Barbara was a pleasure to work with--quick to respond via email and patiently answered all of my questions with great information! We were a group of 10 adults and 3 kids (ages 2-7) and we had plenty of room to spread out. All the kids stayed in the main house since the the two bedrooms above the pool are on the opposite side of the pool from the main house (a bit "far"). Another note, the room with 2 queen beds is a loft-style room, upstairs (in case you have any noise sensitive people in your group). We had everything we needed in the kitchen, plenty of towels, and even soap in the bathrooms! Our group rented bikes and were able to get everywhere on the resort via bike paths--Harbour Town (very close), South Beach, Salty Dog, and the Beach Club. If you wanted to take one car with all of your beach stuff, then go to the Beach Club since there's parking there and everyone else can bike! I've stayed at Sea Pines a few times and this was one of our favorite places to stay! Would definitely recommend!
Great home in great location.
This home is very nice. We enjoyed our short stay and will hope to stay longer next time. It is a convenient great place to relax.
Everything we could have expected!!!
Blown away the moment you open the front door. Amazing floor plan. Never seen a house lIke it. There was not one thing we needed during our trip that this house did not provide. I will stay here again without a doubt.
An extensive web of bike/walking trails connects you with anywhere you want to go in Sea Pines and also connects with the bike/walking trails that crisscross the island. Walking or biking among the ancient live oaks dripping with Spanish moss is one of the great pleasures of life here. There is always something in bloom throughout the year starting with gorgeous camellias in January. Sea Pines has preserved its natural environment, lush with palm trees, live-oaks and pines.
Sea Pines is known for its wide, beaches of fine white sand. The newly renovated beach club just over a mile from the house has all the amenities to enjoy a day of fun in the sun. The closest beach to the house is just a 5 minute bike ride of less than a mile.
Dining, recreation & shopping areas of Harbour Town and South Beach are within easy walking/biking distance (2 mi. & 2.5 mi.) & provide opportunities for short excursions when the pool and beach aren't calling.
HIlton Head is known for golf with 24 courses and Sea Pines has three - Heron Point, Ocean Course and the world famous Harbour Town Gold Links where the televised Heritage Gold Classic is played annually.
Bike or walk over to beautiful Lawton Stables for horseback riding, or just to watch the horses frolic. For the kids, there is an incredible playground in Harbour Town which features concerts for kids during summer months and a really elaborate miniature gold course.
The award-winning Jazz Corner & restaurant at Wexford Center (4 miles away) is a well-known regional venue for live music nightly. This is a must stop during your stay.
