This secure villa offers you lovely views across the valley from the bedrooms, terraces and balconies. There is also a gated area away from your private swimming pool for relaxing.

The house has recently undertaken a complete renovation with the addition of a second floor with new bedrooms and bathrooms and a stunning balcony with views across the valley. It is very comfortably furnished to a very high standard, and has a lovely covered terrace overlooking the pool. It has a pretty garden with many cosy sitting areas and where you can enjoy al fresco dining during the summer evenings. You can walk up the tosca stone steps overlooking the terrace and enjoy the sunset across the valley from the terrace. An ideal G and T seat or day time retreat.

La Corona villa offers you a perfect base for visiting this historic part of Spain, with many great amenities and lively towns and cities only a short drive in any direction. But at the end of the day you can recover to the quiet splendour of your villa for peace and tranquillity. The villa is not suitable for stag and hen parties.

Villa Details: The house is very comfortably furnished to a high standard and has a lovely covered terrace overlooking the pool. It has a nice garden with many cosy sitting areas in sun or shade. You can enjoy al fresco dining during the summer evenings, maybe using the traditional Spanish BBQ. Walk up the tosca stone steps overlooking the terrace and enjoy the sunset across the valley from the owners G & T seat. Smell the lavender and wild herbs and enjoy the very colourful flowers all around you while watching the sunset.

Local Area: The Villa is situated on foothills overlooking Javea port on a well lit quiet no through road. Walk down to the port and after watching the fishermen unload their catch have breakfast at one of the pavement cafes overlooking Javea bay. In the evening eat at one of the numerous restaurants where locals and visitors frequent. Javea old town is 10 min walk away and the more touristic Arenal beach front (with restaurants, bars and clubs) and promenade is a half hour walk or a 5 min car journey away.

Amenity Distance away:

Town 0.5 km.

Beach 1 km.

El Arenal 2 km.

Golf course 7 km.

Tennis courts 3.5 km.

Supermarket 1 km.

Choice of local Restaurants 1 km.

Local shops/Port 1 km.

The pleasant old centre of Javea is worth passing a few hours at one morning. Just wander around admiring the whitewashed buildings with Gothic features. Take a look in the Gothic Church of San Bartolome and visit the busy food market with its stalls full of fresh fish and fruits and vegetables.

Javea Beaches: The coast of Jávea is 25 km long, with beaches which stand out because of their natural beauty, transparent waters and the Mediterranean forests which surround them.

From north to south, the Capes of Sant Antoni, Sant Martí, Negre and La Nau mark the coastline. Jávea has a great variety of beaches to choose from:

Pebble or rock beaches like “La Grava”, “El 1º Muntanyar”, “Calablanca”, “El 2º Muntanyar” or “Benissero” are ideal for water sports such as jetski, windsurfing and canoeing, and are all protected by vigilance services.

The bustling “Arenal” beach offers fine and shallow waters. Its many services include: vigilance services, play areas for children, natural and artificial shade, small motor boat and skate hire, restaurants, cafés and ample parking facilities.

There are also small coves with smooth stones or rock, located in unique, privileged places, like the “Tangó” or “Pope”, “La 1ª Caleta”, “La Barraca” or “Portitxol”.

About Phil Duquemin

Phil and Jackie Duquemin bought the villa in 2003 and have enjoyed many holidays here. It is a second home to them and they look at the villa with a critical eye always looking for improvements

Phil Duquemin purchased this villa in 2003

Why Phil Duquemin chose Javea, Moraira and Denia Area

We had almost given up looking on a trip to view potential holiday homes and then on the last day before leaving we had a phone call from the estate agent telling us of a property was that day on the market. We visited and we loved the really sunny aspect, the location of La Corona, which is very sought after and peaceful yet close to everything and the quality of the build. We knew straight away this was for us. The owner had good personal reasons for selling and he has since become a friend.

Guestbook comments from the owner

You really have thought of everything. It's a real home away from home.

We have HAD THE BEST family holiday (all of us agree) and absolutely love Javea and everything it has to offer a young family.

Thank you so much for letting us stay.

La Corona really is a luxury villa

  • 5 of 5

Just back from Villa La Corona, after staying for 9 days end of July 17. Family of 4, two teenage boys. This is our 4th stay in villa's in the Javea/Moraira area and have to say this was the nicest and best located villa we have stayed in.

Location: Half way up a steep hill on the edge of Javea town (port end). 10 minute walk to seafront. Steep but easily walkable if you are reasonably fit. Supermarkets x 3 all within 5 mins drive. Lovely setting in a treelined valley. Excellent location in quiet residential area but close to amenities. We still tended to drive down the hill into Javea (lazy) and large free carpark at bottom of hill. We loved pretty Javea and the busier/cosmepolitan L' Arenal area and beach. Altea is worth a visit both beach area and old town up the hill are truely beautiful. Also busier Denia area with shops and Marina area worth a visit.

Villa: Excellent condition, you can tell it has been recently refurbished and kept spotlessly clean and well maintained. Lovely (deep) clean pool and a variety of pool toys/lilo/balls left which were much appreciated. Handy awning area providing loads of shade. Variety of patio areas for relaxing with a glass of wine and most importantly nice comfortable wicker sofa's to relax on. Lovely dinning area/table under the bougainvillea covered awning was picuresque for dinners, didn't use the barbeque area as I'm a serial sausage burner, but looked well equipped. We had the top floor master bedroom and bathroom and banned the kids, so good privacy! The master bedroom large balcony/patio has excellent views and is lovely for breakfasts and a moonlight wine before bed.

Facilities: Wifi was good enough for facetime and downloading (repeater on top floor was helped provide good all round coverage). Freeview on large flatscreen telly with all the English freeview channels. Excellently equipped kitchen, everything was there including a good coffee machine which was well used. Everything looks new and works perfectly. Lots of bathroom towels provided. An idea for improvement would be to supply or rent out beach towells as we struggle with luggage allowance and it seems wasteful to buy them for one week (other villas have provided this facilty).

In summary we had a fantastic stay in villa la corona, the pictures dont do it justice and we would recommend this villa as an excellent luxury stay for a family holiday. You get what you pay for....Quality!!

Beautiful, beautiful place had such a relaxing time.

  • 5 of 5

This was such an amazing place, was just what we needed. The villa is clean, spacious and well equipped and the assistance and communication was A*. We love Javea and this is so well positioned, an easy walk into town. Quite a treck to get back up the hill during peak heat but once it cools down later in the day it is not a problem. Loved every minute of it thoroughly chilled out and the pool was so warm all the time. Would definitely recommend this to everyone, you will not be disappointed.

Comfy and clean and near the Port

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for nine weeks and were sad to leave. The villa is well equipped and the beds comfy. The many stairs kept us fit and although the pool looked lovely it was too cold for a swim. We actually got up one morning to three inches of snow in January. We would stay here again as it is near the sea and plces to eat yet is peaceful.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to provide a review of the property. Also thank you for your kind words. Your photos of the snow sent to us are lovely to have and I think we will find a place for one in the villa. Prior to this winter I understand 1983 was the previous snow fall. However Javea changes quickly and after the snow was a storm and after a few days there was sunshine again. I rarely swim in winter although my children are a bit more hardy than me and take the occasional dip on the best days. Thank you for staying and we hope that you visit again.

Clean and well equipped and very near the port and sea.

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a lovely nine weeks here and fell in love with Javea. The house has everything needed and the beds were so comfortable. All those steps kept us fit. There are lots of places to sit with comfy outdoor furniture. Nov, Dec January was too cold to use the lovely pool and we even had snow for one day. Quite rare here. This is a great base to explore the nearby beauty and lovely to come home to. We would recommend this house.

Excellent Location

  • 5 of 5

This was our first time in Javéa and what an excellent Villa to stay in. It was of an exceptionally high standard in all respects.

It has wonderful views and is in an extremely quiet location.

Although close enough to walk to the town, local restaurants and shops the walk back up the hill would be a test for anyone, because of this we found that we had to drive most nights.

We used the Villa as base while settling our daughter into her placement year at University in Valencia.

It is perfectly located for us to relax but also close enough to help her settle in.

The owners were extremely helpful throughout the whole booking process.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to review our property. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay. We tend to walk back up the hill but we are regular walkers and are ok with the incline. As you say the alternative is to park at the bottom of the hill or take a taxi from the port which is about €5.

La Corona villa offers you a perfect base for visiting this historic part of Spain, with many great amenities and lively towns and cities only a short drive in any direction. The villa is 1 hour 15 minutes by car from Alicante Airport and 10 minutes longer away from Valencia Airport. The villa is situated in a quiet road above the port. Set in a residential road there is little passing traffic. The villa overlooks a 'zona verde' giving a view of fir trees down the valley towards Moraira. The area of La Corona is an exclusive part of Javea and is in close proximity to the beautiful port (with lovely beach), the old town and 30 minutes walk or a short drive to the bustling Arenal where there is a nice sandy beach, many restaurants and clubs.

Within 20 minutes drive are other more exclusive beaches where if you want more privacy it is easily available. Golf close by at La Sella or Javea Golf Club.
