About the property

Modern Purpose built apartment situated on the ski slopes

This purpose built property was constructed in 2005 when the current owners bought it. It offers lovely accommodation & can sleep up to 6 people, comprising one double bedroom, one small bedroom area off the open plan kitchen/lounge with adult sized bunk beds and a sofa bed in the open plan lounge/diner/kitchen area. But for comfort and given the size of the accommodation we think it lends itself to no more than 5 adult guests otherwise it might be a little cozy!

There is a bathroom with shower over the bath, with separate toilet. therefore given the compact nature of the apartment means that hot water is not unlimited.

Generous balcony over looking onto the nursery slope and a separate ski locker on the ground floor. Facilities to the apartment include dishwasher, TV, DVD, oven, hob, iPod docking station.

Access to the apartment will be given from 1600hrs and you will be expected to vacate by 1000hrs on the day of your departure, flexability will be given if we have no other bookings on your arrival or departure dates.

Rental is normally Saturday to Saturday but the owners are flexible and this is by negotiation subject to availability and a small surcharge. We can also cater for long weekends. The TV/DVD also plays CDs through it and whilst the apartment does not have WiFi this is available in the local bar. Since buying the apartment we have had a daughter and therefore the facilities cater for little children with a cot and high chair. All duvets, blankets, and pillows are provided but you are required to bring your own bed linen and towels. Linen and towels can be organised and provided for a supplement of £20 per person per stay. Should you wish to reserve the apartment a 25% deposit will be required with the balance due no less than 4 week prior to your departure.

Perfect apartment in a lovely village

We enjoyed our stay here very much, it is in a great location right by the main ski lift to the beautiful grand massif ski area and also overlooking the debutante area for the two beginners in our group. The snow was fabulous and right to the front door of the apartment so was ski in ski out for us. There were several lovely restaurants and a great bar in the village and also a good supermarket where we bought everything we needed. Our main impression was of how very welcoming and friendly everyone is in Morillon which made for a very happy holiday! Julie and Mark were helpful and always available to answer questions. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Well situated Apartment

Great apartment in a suburb location

This is second time I have stayed in this great little apartment. On this occasion, it was just myself and my dad. The apartment is perfect and well equipped for a weeks stay. Beds are very comfortable, showers powerful and apartment is very toasty!

Perfect location with a short walk to the lifts. Great views over the nursery slopes.

Some great places to eat - highly recommend the oak barrel pub for traditional French delights (fondue and tartiflette)!

Morillon is a great ski resort and will definitely be returning!

Well located

Stayed here over Christmas, a first for us. Apartment is well appointed and has everything you could need and more. Well located for lifts, however unfortunately we had no snow so had to take the cable car down tothe valley and take the ski bus to next resort which was higher. Although slightly annoying it was well organised.

Morillon 1100 is a bit light on restaurants and bars but the supermarket is very good and stocks plenty. Nice bread shop too. bar has renamed itself and is very expensive.

You will need a good taxi if you don't drive, book ahead to get good price.

Small but with everything

First impression was "small" but once settled in it had everything required, even a hairdryer which wasn't mentioned in the description. Shower has to be watched - once we stopped daughter running water the full time of her shower, we were all able to achieve hot showers. Great location with easy access to slopes and an unofficial track opposite which aided access and egress from slopes. Short of restaurants but Madison Pub excellent - best. Etoille des Neiges is a great pizzeria. L'Bleu above the chair was good but staff not as pleasant and food not good enough to justify hike. Didn't try La Combe due bad reviews. "Supermarket" has plenty ready cooked options which we didn't try. Beware parking. We thought was allocated spaces at apartment but wasn't. Parked in "space" opposite and got a warning parking notice. All in all a great place for a week skiing.

Morillon is the home of the Olympic 2008 Downhill Ski Champion but this is no surprise given that Morillon forms part of the Grand Massif ski domain which extends to over 265Km of runs, within close proximity to Geneva (approx 1hr transfer). This apartment is located at Morillon 1100 (Les Esserts) and is a purpose built village linked by a road, pistes and cable car to the traditional village centre of Morillon itself down in the valley. Superbly situated, the apartment block is on the piste to facilitate ski in condition, furthermore the block overlooks the nursery slopes with the village Crèche making it a perfect solution for guests with young families. Morillon 1100 also has its own Ski School , ski hire shops, restaurants bar with pool table and a small supermarket providing you will all your essential needs should you decide you do not wish not to hire a car at Geneva or Chambery Airport.
