Excellent location on the beachfront.

Excellent location and literally a stone's throw from the beach. Lots of lovely beach restaurants nearby for lunch. However, a car is definitely needed as the supermarket is a 20 minute walk. Maria was very helpful with any requests and questions we had before and thoughtout our stay. We did have a couple of nights where music from the beach lidos was played until the early hours of the morning, and this was not ideal with young children, but this was perhaps due to the bank holiday falling during our stay.

A relaxing beach side chalet which delivered what it offered, away from the town

The owners were very helpful and easily available. There is an external large dinning table under the open roof frontage which we used every night to cook local fresh food and drink good local wine. There is nothing in front of the chalet except the beach and the sound of the waves, although it was a pity that the beach had not been cleaned of litter by the local authority. Sicily is a large island and distances between main sites of interest should not be underestimated , Driving in Sicily is an "interesting" experience and a Sat Nav is essential to find the chalet and get around the island. A lovely holiday!.

Great location next to a good beach with bars and restaurants close by

An enjoyable 2 weeks at a very comfortable beach cottage which was made even better by having a very friendly and helpful host. Maria and her family provided us with some good local knowledge recommending restaurants and places to visit which enhanced our holiday. The use of a hire car was essential if you wish to see more of what Sicily had to offer, although there is a train station close by which has a regular service to both Palermo and Cefalu, both towns are well worth a visit. Would recommend this location and intend to return.

"Great location, moments ...

"Great location, moments from the beach. The owners and locals are very helpful and forthcoming, they even did a bit of shopping prior to our arrival, considering we got there on a Saturday evening. The accomodation is large and has everything one would need for a self catering holiday. The garden is great especially for families with small children. The only downside regarding the location is the considerable distance to the actual village, shops and the train station. This is not an issue if you are driving there, but if your plans do not include a car, really consider the benefits of renting one. The neighbourhood can be noisy in the evenings, but that's quite normal considering the beach location, next to numerous bars. To sum up, great owners, great location, the car is a must."

Magical stay in Sicily!

What a wonderful place to have as our base to explore Sicily! First of all, Maria & her family are incredibly helpful , friendly, and responsive to any questions (even giving us suggestions of places to visit, eat, see holiday celebrations, etc.). The villa is very clean and comes with all essential amenities. The location was perfect for exploring Sicily by car and by train, and there are also restaurants within walking distance (that were open in April). We highly recommend the food and staff at Lido Delle Palma, and be sure not to miss the incredible food and hospitality of Makanan. This was our first trip of what will be many trips to Sicily and we are very grateful to Maria for her incredible generosity. Looking forward to our next visit to Villa Flora!
