There are many local walks to try and local stables for those interested in riding. There are village shops and two pubs within easy reach serving excellent lunches and dinners. Ashleys is an open door to the local countryside with fantastic walks, riding stables, Hertfordshire County show ground, local pubs and a wealth of historic and interesting places to visit nearby. The Roman town of St Albans, Shaw’s Corner, Luton Hoo, Hatfield House, Whipsnade Zoo, Woburn Safari Park and Harry Potter World are all within easy reach.

About Eve

We live in the apartmnet downstairs and are very familiar with the area as we've been here for around 20 years. We can advise on things to do and see and make recommendations for local restaurants, shows, museums, village pubs and places of interest. There is a public golf club within easy reach as well as two shopping malls, a swimming pool, a Cathedral and the beautiful Chiltern Hills.

So, if you like the countryside, you're a Potter fan, you want a place with easy access to London, you're visiting the beautiful local area or need to catch an early flight, just let me know and I will do my best to be a great host! Thank you, Eve x

Why Eve chose Saint Albans

It’s lovely here - it's ‘5 minutes from the middle of nowhere and 10 minutes from the middle of everywhere' – that makes Ashleys a great base for most things. Horses ride past the front windows as there is a riding stables at the end of the lane. There are stunning, far reaching countryide views from the lovely balcony where you can sit and relax.

What makes this apartment unique

Although the apartment is on the outskirts of a village, it’s also close to all sorts of things, such as good restaurants and bars as well as theatres and live music venues and it’s easy to get to London or the airport via car or via public transport.Take a look at our web site for more information

The flat is located in a very quiet area with beautiful views and all home comforts

We had a great time at the property. It is only 20 min drive to Luton Airport and St Albans from where we caught the train to London for a day out and also only 25 min drive away from Harry Potter Studios. The property is very clean, with beautiful views and all comforts, including washing machine. The owners are very nice and helpful and immediately to hand should you require assistance. I think this is my favourite place now when I go to London area and will definitely book again. Bit of advice, shop on route as the supermarkets are quite a distance away but a local petrol station is only 5 min away for the necessary supplies

Great location

We stayed here as we were going to the Harry Potter studio tour. It was a in a great location for this as well as visiting Watford and St Albans. The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed.

A very pleasant apartment

Eve was very friendly and helpful. The apartment is comfortable, clean and spacious. It's generally well equipped, with a good kitchen. Some more cutlery would probably be a good idea. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
