Situated in the village of Montreal a few miles from Carcassonne airport, the house has three bedrooms, two doubles and a twin, a well appointed kitchen, a bathroom and a shower room and a spacious L-shaped Lounge/Dining room. There is also games room with a pool table and dart board as well as a number of board games. The Lounge (and also one of the bedrooms) opens up onto a balcony which has a wonderful view of the Pyrenees. The games room opens up onto a garden area which contains a pool, table tennis table and various garden furniture. WIFI and Netflix television is available.
The village is about 8 miles from the historic city of Carcassonne in the middle of the Cathar region, to the north are the Black Mountains and to the south the Pyrenees. The region is full of Cathar castles/chateaus such as Quéribus and Peyrepertuse which are situated on adjacent peaks and if you are fit and have a head for heights you can visit them and be rewarded with the most spectacular views. There are caves to visit such as Grotte de Limousis and no trip to the Malepere wine district would be complete without a trip around a vinyard.
