The most remarkable characteristic of this villa is its unique location in terms of sea & nature views and tranquility. But also its large terrace with sun loungers around the XL 12x5 meter pool, the cosy poolside bar, the renovated seaview rooms, the new luxury furbishments, and the entertainment facilities (petanque, ping-pong, kids toys, poolside bar,...) are designed to please our guests.

Let's detail some characteristics of the villa


The villa is situated at the end of a deadend street amongst olive trees and vineyards, in the middle of a 'green spot' on the famous seaview hillside that has not (yet) urbanized and has the level of 'neighbour-less' privacy and holiday feeling as you can find in Toscane or the Provence, but with the extra benefit that you have a magnificent seaview and are only at a 4km descent towards the sea, getting you right in the middle of the coastline between Moraira and Calpe. So no close neighbours, no views on houses nor roofs, no streets nearby, no noise at all. Only relaxation and fun here.

The villa is located in Benissa's Fanadix area, at the side close to Montemar and La Vina hill. The well-known Canis restaurant in Benimarco is sideways uphill at 1km distance, and a nearest (small) supermarket with fresh bread is at 1.5km. The coastal road near the sea is downhill at 3.5 km from the villa, with immediately access to the sea via Cala Baladrar (great summer beachbar!) or Cala Advocat (great restaurant La Paillotte), both at around 4km from the villa. There are easily 100+ restaurants within a 8km radius (covering Moraira, Calpe, Benissa), and plenty of bars, hiking trails, beaches/creeks, etcetera.


The house itself is situated on a 2,300 sqm domain featuring several terraces, olive and fruit trees. It borders olive-tree yards, forest and a private game held by a southafrican family that lives at the other side of the valley. So from the terrace you can spot just in front some great wildlife like antilope en zebra (no worries, there is a safe fence). Nice for the kids that can observe this from the lookout spot.


The heart of activity is centered around the 12x5m large swimming pool (while most private pools in the area are 8x4m), surrounded by brand new sun loungers, a great poolside bar, a convenient integrated gas BBQ (with grills and plancha) and outdoor kitchen. The new terrace also features a large suncovered dining place. There are various places on the with new lounge seatings to enjoy the views. Out of the 5 bedrooms, 4 give straight view/access to the terraces with immediate seaview.

Behind the pool terrace is a second terrace, this is the 'entertainment area' with petanque, bali bed, ping pong table, kids swing, kids slide and grass area for kids to play.


How is the composition of the villa? You enter the domain through the gate at the end of the dead-end street. It gives you immediately a nice view on the sea, which is on the south side (the entire villa and terrace is south facing, giving all day sun). From the parking you can choose to enter the top floor of the villa (which is at the same level as the parking). Here you have a fully equiped kitchen, a dining place and living room with open fire, satelitte TV and above all a great view on the sea and an open door to a large upper terrace with lounge seatings. Also on this floor you will find the master bedroom with double bed (180cm wide) and open babyroom attached. Also at this floor you find a twin bed room, ideal for kids. Finally, there is here a large bathroom with a bath and a shower.

You can take the stairs towards the bottom floor (at the level of the pool, terrace and outside bar/dining place). At this floor you find 3 seaview rooms each with bedroom+hall+bathroom+toilet+wardrobe area, and with direct access to a terrace. The ensuite bathrooms have all a large shower place. One of these rooms has 3 beds (double bed and a single bad in seperate area), with makes that the 5 bedrooms feature 11 sleeps (plus babycots if needed). All 5 bedrooms have all airco.

On the grond floor is a newly installed and fully equipped summer kitchen. From this kitchen you can go outside towards the the terrace with its large covered dining place, a tropical bar area near the pool, a BBQ porch (with outdoor frigde and small kitchen) a large pool with roman stairs entry.

Finally, good to know that we help our guests with a private visitor guide that summerizes our own personal tips for finding the best restaurents, shopping, beaches, villages, day visits, etc. And we work with a lady from Benissa who arranges the welcoming of our guests and takes care of cleaning, linnen, etc on changeover days.

We are a belgian family with 2 kids (now 8 and 10 years old). We live in Belgium where and come very regularly for a long weekend to Benissa to enjoy the sun, the food, the sea and the cosy places we have there. We bought our first house in 2010 (also for rent, see ref 821178), but that is now rented out most of the time so we decided to buy a second house where we can offer an even more unique location, and we can spent more time ourselves and rent out only when we are planning to be there.

Why Gunter, owner of villa Mimosa chose Benissa

We were already looking for quite some time to buy an extra house in Benissa, and when we saw this one we fell immediately in love with its tranquille setting, in the middle of nowhere just overlooking forest and sea, and yet very centrally located in the triangle Moraira-Calpe-Benissa where all the great restaurants etc are. Everything is within a 2-8 minute drive

What makes this villa unique

- tranquille setting, at deadend street in a forest area between Calpe-Moraira

- excellent view on sea & forest, with some wildlife spotting (antilope, zebra) in the private safari park before the terrace

All with 2,5m wide glass sliding doors with seaview and straight access to terrace. Set up of these 3 bedroom is like hotel rooms. Bedroom 4 is upstairs and is very large with annex dressing area and single bed and possibility for baby cot. The upper stairs bathroom (shower+bath) is just across the door. Great place to escape.

This is a villa that is very well designed with high quality furnishings and everything you need to enjoy a relaxing family holiday. We really enjoyed the surrounding areas and found some great places to eat and drink.

My wife would have liked a full length mirror in the bedroom.

We would return to this villa without hesitation.

Perfect location, great evenings around pool&bar

We spent a fantastic week at Villa Mimosa in August 2016. Small roadsigns 'mimosa' guided us to the house which is located in a fantastic location with fantastic seaviews. Close to the coast with nice restaurants and bars, the house is located in a green valley, which makes it a good place to relax and enjoy our holiday. There is a small supermarket at only 1 km from the house (they have really good bread) and a restaurant Canis which serves delicious Paella.

The villa itself is totally renewed with very nice furniture. Despite the beautiful interior, we actually spent 90% of our time outside on the terrace, with a really cosy and convenient dining place and bar. The kids played in and around the pool all day , while we had great fun around the bar with the convenience of a nearby dining place, kitchen and BBQ. The kitchen was completely new and fully equipped with all kitchen utensils.

We had a perfect holiday here, at this 'hidden jewel' at the Costa Blanca. We can highly recommend it to all families and people that value the good spanish life under the 'sun & a million stars', and don't prefer to be in a crowdy area.

Close to of Apeldoorn (midst of The Netherlands)

Bijzonder goed verzorgd en bijzonder verblijf

Villa Mimosa is van alle huizen die wij aan de Costa Blanca hebben gehuurd - en dat zijn er best een paar geweest - een enorm positieve uitschieter. Bij aankomst waren wij verrast en onder de indruk van de mooie toegangspoort waarachter palmen en een prachtig uitzicht op zee.

De inrichting is sfeervol, verzorgd, alles wat er moet zijn is er, en wij hebben genoten van een heel groot huis met 2 personen, zodat je lekker kunt kiezen waar je gaat slapen, en wie welke badkamer heeft.

Bijzonder is de verdeling van boven een winterkeuken en beneden een zomerkeuken, die ook gemakkelijk samen gebruikt kunnen worden.

Het zwembad is prachtig verlicht, evenals andere plekken buiten, er zijn voldoende fijne plaatsen om te liggen en te zitten, en dat geldt zowel voor buiten als voor binnen.

Een absolute aanrader als je houdt van een stijlvol verblijf op goede afstand van alle leuke plaatsen (Benissa, de kust van Benissa en Moraira, Javea en verder.

Wij wensen onze gastheer en zijn familie veel succes met het op peil houden van deze mooie accomodatie. Warme groeten uit Nederland van Rob en Meta

The cleaning fee is for the entire stay, the linen/towels fee is PER person per day. The set of linen/towels covers rental & washing of 1 set per person : kitchen, bath, giant beach towel (also to be used for the sunbeds). These costs are mandatory because we want to assure that mattresses and cushions are properly protected, and also sunbeds can be covered maximally with giant towels.
The heating surplus charges is only for the period nov-feb, to cover for extra gas consumption on chilly days, as well as wood for the fireplace (10€ per day for the entire house),

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
