Although above the pub, the apartment has good soundproofing and this stone-built property boasts comfortable and cosy accommodation throughout, offering five bedrooms - all with full en-suite facilities. Fully enclosed private south facing large garden at the rear is accessed down a few stone steps.
The surrounding area is overflowing with many footpaths and cycle routes just waiting to be explored, whilst Northumberland's magnificent National Park, rich in Iron Age archaeology, is just a five-minute drive away giving you access to some of the best walking country in England. Enjoy a short drive on quiet roads to Alnwick Castle and Alnwick Garden - with its fantastic Tree House restaurant or a little further to the Northumbria coast with its beaches and Bamburgh Castle or Dunstanburgh Castle. Even closer you can explore Ingram Valley and the Breamish River or Cragside House, an extraordinary Victorian house, gardens and woodland. The Pennine Cycle Route 68 passes within a mile of the property and secure dry cycle storage is available.

From the small landing at the top of the moderately steep stairs enter into the fully-fitted luxury kitchen with breathtaking panoramic views through a treble window across the Vale of Whittingham. Completed in 2013, the kitchen has everything you would expect from a modern kitchen catering for up to 11 people including a large cooking range with 5 burner gas hob and two ovens, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. All appliances are integrated into the high-quality cabinets with modern work surfaces.
The open-plan kitchen also contains a dining area with 2 dining tables and seating for up to 11 people and those views - an ideal area for socialising and maybe even a pre-dinner cocktail!
The exceptionally large lounge is adorned with natural light from two, almost floor-to-ceiling windows. Simply furnished with sofas and a selection of additional seating, this spacious rooms is adequate for up 11 adults and features 50-inch Freeview TV, DVD, video and CD player.
Bedroom 1: has twin beds and en-suite with shower. Bedroom 2: the south facing master bedroom has a double bed, huge walk-in wardrobe with fitted cabinets and drawers. Within the bedroom is an annexe room simply furnished with a single bed. There is also a small entrance lobby with a wash hand basin leading through into the master en-suite bathroom which has a bath, a separate shower enclosure, WC, wash hand basin, heated towel rail and mirror.
