Luxury 3 Bedroom Apartment with Piano in Paris

Bedrooms 3
Space 1,937 sq. ft.
Property type apartment
Minimum Stay 4 nights

About the property

Bedrooms 3, Bathrooms 2, Sleeps 6

Spacious, elegant, graciously proportioned, and quintessentially French, this high-ceilinged jewel of a 3-bedroom, 2-bath apartment is located in a glorious Haussmann-era building; featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, sun-drenched by fifth-floor light, a grand piano, indoor trees -- this place has it all.

As you enter into a generous and welcoming foyer, looking through gently arched French doorways you see, to the left, the large salon, where the couch is framed by more gorgeously arched windows, to the right the equally grand dining room, and in the center the study, with grand piano, bookshelves, and plants. Ah… you're home!

The fully equipped, spic-and-span kitchen features a table seating five. The master bedroom is luxuriously appointed with a queen size bed and its own ensuite bathroom. Bedroom Two features a full bed and fireplace, and the third bedroom has two single beds.

The second bath, newly renovated, lies between the two secondary bedrooms. If you want to have a beautifully balanced, completely elegant Paris experience… even with the kids… this is the place for you! You won't find a better mix of space, elegance, location, plus a nearby perfect park, no matter what.

The 6th arrondissement is home to Saint Germain des Près, multitudinous cafés and restaurants which have by now become the stuff of legend, the Rive Gauche and les bouquinistes (booksellers) along the river Seine, wonderful outdoor food markets, and jaw-dropping building after jaw-dropping photo-op building, things you'll know you've seen before but not quite sure where (in the movies, as backdrops to famous fashion photo spreads, most likely). Here's a tiny sampling of things right outside the door of your fabulous apartment:

First, of course, the Luxembourg Gardens

The Boulevard Saint Germain des Prés boasts some of the best shopping and strolling in all Paris - nay, the world!

Les Deux Magots and Café de Flore: Sartre and Camus participated in "philosophy bees," actual head-to-head competitions set up by the proprietors of Les Deux Magots and the Café de Flore.

A short stroll away, don't miss visiting the wondrous Musée d'Orsay - another Parisian monument designed by an Italian architect!

Around the corner is the River Seine, beckoning you to an evening boat ride with cocktails, or a delectable dinner, and gorgeously lit buildings rising on either side.

The Hotel Lutetia has a long and well-curated connection to jazz, and the building itself is a beaux arts marvel. Go by for an afternoon refreshment, or an evening musicale.

The booksellers, or bouquinistes, along the Seine have been there since 1500, according to Rick Steves.

The nearest Metro station is Metro "Saint-Placide" line 4.

Charming apartment

  • 3 of 5

The apartment was very French and charming, although the kitchen was very small and needed updating. It also was not equipped with functional items, like a real coffee pot! The elevator broke down twice while we were there and made it inconvenient to climb 5 flights. There were towels left for us but no washcloths and we were not allowed to use the extra ones in the closets; very strange! The agent also told us they were leaving us complimentary wine, but there was none to be found. I might choose a different location for my next stay in Paris.

Owner's Response: Bonjour, Yannick. Thank you for your review. We are again sorry for the elevator problems you experienced during your stay. It is very rare that elevator is out of service. The kitchen is indeed somewhat small but most guests take their meals in the large dining room instead of the small table in the kitchen. None of our apartments have the old-style "real" coffee pot you mention because they all have Nespresso machines and free coffee pods. In fact, this is a trend throughout France to not have those old coffee pots. However, we would have been happy to have bought you one had you asked. We provide a large bath towel and a smaller face towel for each person but no washcloths. The extra towels in the closets are the owner's private things and that is why we provide complimentary towels. I am sorry you did not receive your bottle of wine. Had we known, we would have been happy to bring you one. Thanks for staying with Holidays Europe Rentals.

Glorious apartment in ideal location

  • 5 of 5

This beautiful and expansive apartment was the perfect way to experience Paris. Our family of six stayed two weeks in late July, walking to local cafes, patisseries, the gardens, shopping on rue de Rennes and St. Germaine, and clubs in the Latin Quarter. The apartment building has a secure entrance with a lovely old elevator that carried my elderly father (and slack teenagers) up to the fifth floor, while others of us braved the gorgeous marble staircase for a daily workout. The apartment fills the entire 5th floor, with a wraparound balcony full of flowers, French doors that let in amazing air (benefit of being that high up) and light, and a view that reminds you how lucky you are to be in Paris! Air conditioners in the bedrooms kept it cool when the temperature rose, but many nights we had the doors open and didn't need the a/c. The kitchen is small but very efficient and charming: with all the fresh veggies, meats and fish we bought at the farmer's market just one block up the street (Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays), we cooked some memorable dinners and appreciated the new dishwasher that made cleanup easy. Our arrival was seamless - the driver picked us up at the airport, Bernard met us at the apartment building, and we were settled in with house keys and a bottle of wine in no time at all. The cleaning service came at the end of our first week, changed the linens and towels and left everything sparkling. I can't say enough good things about this apartment - the music collection, the books, the quiet location, the charm and magic - it is a jewel and a window to a very gracious part of Paris.
