'Cooters' is a wonderful cabin style cottage converted from former stables in the grounds of a countryside farm. Set in the heart of the South Downs National Park, 'Cooters' makes ideal accommodation for keen walkers, those wishing to explore the South Downs or anyone just wanting to just 'get away from it all' for a while. This countryside retreat is only about 4 miles from both the A3 to London and the mainline railway station at Petersfield, so is ideally located for anyone escaping the city or for visitors who fancy a day out in London.

The modern and stylish accommodation is all newly fitted (Spring 2011) with a light and airy open plan living area including the sitting area, kitchen and dining table. The well equipped kitchen area includes a dishwasher, microwave, oven, ceramic hob and washing machine. There is a dining table that will open out to seat any visitors for lunch or dinner and in the sitting area there is a flat screen TV with built-in DVD player, as well as internet access. The double bedroom is found at the other end of the cottage and has an en-suite shower room.

Outside, there is a seating area overlooking a delightful little wet woodland with open fields beyond. The remnants of a small waterway system at the front of the property creates a beautiful backdrop to any long summer's evening.

Set in this rural location with nothing close by other than the next door farm cottages, it's hard to believe that 'Cooters' is only a few minutes' drive from the historic market town of Petersfield, which offers a comprehensive range of shopping facilities including the Rams Walk complex, a selection of supermarkets and a twice weekly market held in The Square on Wednesday and Saturday. The main line railway station provides a service from Portsmouth to London Waterloo and recreational facilities include The Heath, a lake, an 18 hole golf course and Taro Sports Centre.

The downland village of Harting lies 2 miles to the south. Here you will find a local village shop which stocks an interesting selection of food and drink. There are also two churches, two good village pubs and a hairdressers. About 9 miles to the east is the town of Midhurst, famous for hosting international polo events at Cowdray Park.
