Overview

About the property

beautiful 2-bed flat in a historic early 18th century house

This beautiful 2-bed flat in a historic early 18th century house is comfortable and bright with a new kitchen and 300-year old wood panelling and original floors.

It is located in Soho in the beating heart of London's thriving theatre-, shopping and restaurant-district.

Major museums, art galleries, parks, Buckingham Palace, the South Bank, dozens of theatres, cinemas, and all the shopping attractions of Bond Street, Oxford Street and Covent Garden are within fifteen easy walking minutes of the front door.

The rest of London is easily accessible through three near-by tube stops (Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square and Tottenham Court Road) and numerous buses.

The flat is on the third floor of a historic (circa 1700') Queen Anne house in Soho. It is newly refurbished to a high standard and has original early 18th century panelling in all the rooms.

Free wifi is available via the flat's dedicated broadband service.

The spacious living room contains a large sleep sofa, a 32'' flat screen TV, and a dining area with chairs and table sitting 4.

The large kitchen has brand new units and appliances including washing machine, dishwasher, double-height fridge freezer, electric oven and gas hob.

The two bedrooms are airy and bright and each contains a double bed (one is slightly smaller than a standard double bed).

NB : The bathroom containing a bath and WC is very compact. There is a separate shower concealed behind the panelling in one of the bedrooms.

The flat is furnished with a mixture of antique and modern furniture and has beautiful polished original wooden floors with oriental and modern rugs.

Soho is a lively area in the evening but our street is relatively quiet as is the flat.

Staying here, visitors can enjoy luxurious accommodation while experiencing the "village" that is the very centre of this great city.

Lovely, quiet and well appointed flat in a lively area of London

  • 5 of 5

We booked this flat because of its wonderful reviews.

Flora was quick to respond to any request both during the booking process as well as our stay.

She greeted us upon our arrival and quickly gave us a tour of our home for the following three days. It does have several short flights of stairs leading up to it, but it should be fine for most visitors.

We enjoyed the vase of fresh flowers awaiting us on our dining table located in the living room. The television was easy to use with a variety of channels. The sofa was comfortable as both a seating area and made out into a bed. I slept on the sleeper sofa and was quite pleased with it.

The flat is clean, bright and well lit. Several travel guide books as well as outlet adapters were available on the fireplace mantel.

There is a nice array of soaps, some cotton swabs, makeup remover pads, etc. as well as fluffy towels and a hairdryer in the main bathroom. The water was a soothing temperature with very good pressure.

The bedrooms were a nice size with storage for hanging as well drawer space for clothing. A good nights sleep was had by those sleeping in the comfortable beds.

We found the kitchen to be very well equipped. It had all the cleaning supplies needed for washing dishes as well as clothing.

Breakfast was our main meal eaten in the flat and we were happy to find the bagels, delicious jam, butter, and milk awaiting us in the refrigerator. For other shopping, a Tesco or Sainsbury were around a 20 minute walk away. (check Google Maps)

We have visited London before and stayed in the Soho area, so we knew this would be a good place to stay for our visit. It is well placed for restaurant and pub visits.

Our stay here was wonderful and I highly recommend this delightful flat.

Can't beat the location. Can't beat the service.

Very nice location, clean and functional. You will have 3 flights of stairs to climb and additional stairs to use the small bathroom. The additional shower in the master bedroom was helpful. Flora was cheerfully accommodating and left bagels and flowers.

Great location

  • 4 of 5

Fabulous location. Very central. Old & creaky but very in keeping with the age of the property. The three flights of stairs are certainly a workout, especially with suitcases in tow but was offered assistance. Toilet upstairs. Quite snug but very well hosted. All in all a pleasant stay.

Charming and perfect location

This is a great place to stay in London! Clean, well appointed and great location especially for going to theatres. The owners and manager are very nice. I would recommend to anyone as long as they are ok with some stairs.

Outstanding

The location was great. Right in the center of things. The apartment had the expected historic charm. But the really best part was the wonderful hospitality of William and especially Flora. We were very very happy.
