|Space||500 sq. ft.|
This beautiful 2-bed flat in a historic early 18th century house is comfortable and bright with a new kitchen and 300-year old wood panelling and original floors.
It is located in Soho in the beating heart of London's thriving theatre-, shopping and restaurant-district.
Major museums, art galleries, parks, Buckingham Palace, the South Bank, dozens of theatres, cinemas, and all the shopping attractions of Bond Street, Oxford Street and Covent Garden are within fifteen easy walking minutes of the front door.
The rest of London is easily accessible through three near-by tube stops (Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square and Tottenham Court Road) and numerous buses.
The flat is on the third floor of a historic (circa 1700') Queen Anne house in Soho. It is newly refurbished to a high standard and has original early 18th century panelling in all the rooms.
Free wifi is available via the flat's dedicated broadband service.
The spacious living room contains a large sleep sofa, a 32'' flat screen TV, and a dining area with chairs and table sitting 4.
The large kitchen has brand new units and appliances including washing machine, dishwasher, double-height fridge freezer, electric oven and gas hob.
The two bedrooms are airy and bright and each contains a double bed (one is slightly smaller than a standard double bed).
NB : The bathroom containing a bath and WC is very compact. There is a separate shower concealed behind the panelling in one of the bedrooms.
The flat is furnished with a mixture of antique and modern furniture and has beautiful polished original wooden floors with oriental and modern rugs.
Soho is a lively area in the evening but our street is relatively quiet as is the flat.
Staying here, visitors can enjoy luxurious accommodation while experiencing the "village" that is the very centre of this great city.
I live with my wife (an arts journalist), kids (16 and 14 years old), two cats and a dog in the lower floors of the house where we rent flats. I am a former academic, having been, most recently professor at Imperial College, London. I currently run my own software and risk advisory firm, the offices of which are a few hundred yards from the house.
The location was great. Right in the center of things. The apartment had the expected historic charm. But the really best part was the wonderful hospitality of William and especially Flora. We were very very happy.
Organised and efficient, very nice flat in perfect location, very good amenities and welcome. Flora was extremely helpful. Highly recommended.
Was very clean and spacious. Nicely stocked kitchen, everything from food products to laundry soap was organic that's a hit in our family!! They even had chocolate Easter eggs waiting for us since we arrived on Easter, nice welcome. Would stay there again for sure!
We didn't mind the climb up to the apartment at all - although it was 50 steps. The apartment was in great shape, very clean and a well appointed kitchen for a holiday stay with light meal preparation. Beds and furnishings very comfortable. Easy walking distance to the Leicester Underground Station. Vibrant interesting neighbourhood not far from Oxford Street. Highly recommended stay.
Definitely appreciated the location of this flat. So close to so many interesting sites! Surprisingly quiet street too with so much happening on the two parallel streets on either side! The little extras provided, meant a lot. Thank you for an excellent stay.
