About The Morgan Family

Pete, Amanda and Matthew, a family of 3, who just love Anglesey. We live South of Manchester and so are only 2 hours away from Church View. When we come to Trearddur Bay we enjoy exploring the coastline, spending time on the various beaches and eating out in some wonderful restaurants - all on our doorstep. We feel very lucky and as Matthew gets older we hope to spend a lot more time in Trearddur Bay.

The Morgan Family purchased this house in 2017

Why The Morgan Family chose Trearddur Bay

We fell in love with the location of the house. It's on a quiet cul de sac (it's a shame it's unadopted and a bit scruffy, but we're working on that). The house has a lovely relaxed feel and all home comforts so it doesn't really feel like a holiday rental. We have equipped the house so that when we come and stay there is little we need to bring with us.

The views out the back and from the garden are lovely of the Church and we enjoy spotting the resident seagull!

Being only 200 metres from the beach is superb and its very handy to be able to pop back to the house for anything forgotten!

What makes this house unique

Location to the beach.

Truly a home away from home

  • 5 of 5

It was only a short trip for us, a was about family and almost 40 years of memories made in Trearddur Bay, Angelsey and Wales.

We decided on this property because of location, but the images showed somewhere really comfortable as our base too.

Often places don't live up to the images, this one excelled them! It is really tastefully decorated. So much thought into making it a home, not just a holiday rental. So much thoughtful decoration but also provision for adults and families!

Home owners Amanda and Peter and the team at HomeAway were excellent to deal with.

If back in the area, this property will be our first choice, so it comes with our highest recommendation!

Trearddur Bay is on Holy Island, just south of Holyhead. The rocky coves, sandy beaches and grassy banks make this an exceptionally beautiful part of Anglesey. With the relatively sheltered offshore reefs and incredibly clear water, diving enthusiasts from all over Britain are attracted to the area.

The fine, award winning sandy beach is perfect for families, surfers, windsurfers and kite-surfers. Fisherman can often be seen casting off the rocks on both sides of the beach.

For sailing enthusiasts, The Trearddur Bay Sailing Club has a race season that runs from the end of July until the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Boat trips and fishing trips are available from the beach.

Near the beach is a play area and a football pitch where Trearddur Bay United F.C. play.

The Anglesey Coastal Footpath towards takes you to neighbouring Rhoscolyn, or, head towards Porth Dafarch to visit South Stack lighthouse and the RSPB Reserve at Penrhos-feilw, once a Bronze Age ritual site.
