Overview

About the property

Enjoy SWEEPING COASTAL VIEWS from your very own 1700 square foot home! Situated on a lush ONE-ACRE property, you will have a panoramic OCEAN VIEW, infinity-style POOL with turtle mosaics, tropical bamboo furniture and a 2-person hammock in which to lounge. Most noted by our many returning guests is the huge, private lanai--seen from the dining room, living room AND master bedroom--close enough to the ocean to watch entering cruise ships and a beautiful Kona sunset EVERY night. With evening landscape lights automatically illuminated, you can view the nearby Kona Harbor and beautifully-maintained front garden of Royal Palms, Plumeria, Bougainvillea, and Hibiscus flowers. This island home truly was designed with its spectacular ocean view and vast garden in mind!

The living room was recently updated with a large wrap-around couch, 60" flat screen (Cable & WiFi for Netflix on Demand), local Hawaiian artwork, and games for everyone to play. The dining room, living room and master suite overlook the lanai onto the ocean with nearly all windows and glass sliders to showcase this vista, while having optional safety locks to keep the little ones in. With 3 full bedrooms and 2 baths, plus a full-size futon in the "twin room," this home comfortably sleeps 8. There is also a queen-size air mattress for your use.

The backyard is a giant play area for croquet or badminton and is situated among papaya, banana, pineapple, grapefruit, mango and avocado trees...all fruit for your taking during your stay! At a slightly higher elevation and with ceiling fans in each sitting/sleeping area, air conditioning is nonessential. You will be happy to find this retreat away from the hotter Kohala Coastline with the tranquility of island breezes, a glass of wine from the wine cooler or a poolside family barbecue. Between the amazing Garden of Eden by day and Kona sunsets by night, you may never want to leave this house! But if you do, downtown is just 10 minutes away, and the 2-car garage is fully equipped with beach toys, chairs and snorkeling/swimming gear for the entire group!

Please note: 2-week minimum stay required.

Tax # W47581932. This home has excellent cell reception and free WiFi.

Perfect home for a comfortable and exotic getaway

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed for a week with two other couples, a baby and a toddler. The house felt totally isolated due to the sense of privacy and lack of any noise. Very relaxing! The kitchen was stocked with all necessities to prepare full meals each day. Great appliances, pots and pans, utensils. The lanai was the most popular attraction of the house; we had so much fun lounging and eating out there by the pool that we never even turned on the big screen TV. The view from the lanai was even better than is represented in the pictures, with amazing sunsets and a cool breeze to keep the temperature hovering around perfect. Sleeping arrangements were very comfortable. Although the house feels isolated, we explored the island easily with 10-20 minute drives to surfing, snorkeling, swimming with dolphins, hiking, dining and nightlife. We loved this great home and would recommend anyone looking for a relaxing Big Island getaway to book it...just not when we're trying to come back!

Beautiful Views and Perfect Stay

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at great house overlooking the ocean. The house was stocked with anything you could need- beach gear, baby gear, pool toys. The house had everything.

The views and sunsets were stunning and the lanai was the perfect outdoor space. We spent tons of time out there enjoying the pool and views.

Although the house doesn't have A/C, we found the fans in every room were more than enough to keep it cool and comfortable.

The house is in a great location- a short drive into Kona with access to all the restaurants and amenities you'd need.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely book this property again.

A piece of paradise - all to ourselves!

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we walked through the door we knew this was a special place. A stunning pool, garden and ocean view greeted us outside - and an incredible airy light filled living and dining room with incredible Lanai in front of us. We almost forgot to move from the front door! We were travelling with our 3 teenagers (2 13 year olds and a 16 year old) and had just come from Waikiki. This peaceful and lush setting was just what we needed. The property had everything we needed for venturing out or staying on sight. We felt at home very quickly. The bedrooms and bathrooms were well appointed and the space was wonderful. Even with a full kitchen we tended to use only the fridge and enjoyed grilling on the barbeque and eating our meals on the Lanai. All 5 of us truly enjoyed this home. It is well located in terms of access to grocery stores/ restaurants and Kona proper and for day trips to any of the sights. And wait until you get that first sunset.... We will gladly return the next time we head to the big Island and strongly recommend this location.

My Daughter Learned to Swim in the Saltwater Pool

  • 5 of 5

Liza & Lauren, we're in love with your house. We arrived in Kona from busy jobs in Silicon Valley, balls of stress, and within 24 hours, we were transformed into groovy, blissed-out, bikini clad, island people. The large deck overlooking the ocean is super special. We enjoyed many afternoons (sandy and sun-kissed from a day at the beach) sipping cocktails, in the big cozy lounge chairs, gazing out at the turquoise sea. The pool is simply fantastic, and I love that it is environmentally friendly and gentle on the skin, with a half salt water, half chlorine mix. In fact, my daughter learned how to swim there! I have video of her first shaky lap across the shallow end. If you want to cook at home (and you will, because this house makes you never want to leave) the kitchen has everything, and it's a short 5 minute drive down the mountain to Costco, and a myriad of shops. Our stay here was simply wonderful, and we hope to return soon!

DC Young Family

  • 5 of 5

We came here with our 8 month old and it was fantastic. Beautiful home, away from the heat and traffic downtown. AMAZING sunsets every night. It was such a relaxing experience and such a great way to spend a week. We had a rental car so getting to the beach was an easy 15 minute drive, but it was great to be a little bit removed from the resorts/downtown/beach area when we wanted to just chill at night. Also loved the wild chickens and turkeys that sometimes roam the neighborhood. HIGHLY recommend it for any type of family.

Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a week during the Ironman Race. It was Perfect for us! 7 of us were very comfortable! It is in a beautiful neighborhood, with gorgeous view and sunsets! We found the garage had all kinds of snorkel equipment, water shoes add beach towels were even included! The landscape was beautifully maintained. We picked fruit right from the trees, (although the avocados never quite got ripe enough while we were there). Thank you for a great vacation!
