Villa Barbera is the only luxury villa in Greece with its own 6 hole golf course, as well as tennis facilities. It is located only 10 min from Rethymnon, one of the most intimate and cozy little towns in Crete and can accommodate up to 12 guests in its 5 bedrooms with comfort.

If you want to combine a quiet secluded holiday with some golf, tennis, a round in the gym with a swimming pool of your own, with days at beautiful beaches and good Greek food in the cozy small town of Rethymno, this house fits you. The house is located overlooking the sea, 10 minutes drive to the sea. You can choose to sit in an air-conditioned house or use the outdoor areas for quiet evenings with barbecue and serenity.

It has a 6 goal plot, with swimming pool, tennis court, basketball court, 6 hole golf course with artificial turf and gym will contribute to a pleasant holiday. The fitness room has a running machine, spinning bike, universal device and free weights. The tennis court also has artificial turf. All amenities such as a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washer and dryer are also provided.

Villa Barbera is well equipped with sun loungers and activity equipment, so you can relax during your summer vacation. It is only 10 minutes to the Mediterranean Sea, with organized beaches tailored to your wishes.

Crete is a green island, with high mountain peaks ideal for hiking and there are nice routes across the island, with everything from hour trips to day trips.

The house is approximately one hour from both airports located in Crete, Chania and Heraklion.

About Manos Dafermos

Hello there,

I am Manos, owner and manager of CreteVillas4U. I have been in the hospitality sector long before CreteVillas4U, however. I was actually born, grew up, and spent most of my life in a hotel owned by my family. So, I guess it came as no surprise when I expressed my wish to study in Rhodes’ Tourism School and, later on, when I decided to start my own business in the sector.

One thing I learned growing up in a family-run hotel is that hospitality is more than hotel management, logistics and operations. It is a culture, passing down from one generation to the next. You can study to be a hotel manager but you cannot study to be hospitable.

I apply this philosophy in my business as well. The rule is simple: the guests of the villas I manage are my guests. As an active traveller, I expect nothing less myself.

The fourth generation of Dafermos hoteliers has already been born. I know now that my two beautiful children will probably follow my steps, like I did before them. There is a small difference though: they are smarter, more educated, better (big smile).

Rethymnon is the capital of the prefecture of the same name. It lies between the other two large towns - Herakleion to the east (at a distance of 80 kms.) and Chania to the west (at a distance of 60 kms). Rethymnon is a blend of modern and old-time dignity and charm. It has a population of about 20,000 inhabitants and is the administrative and commercial centre of the prefecture, as well as a communications centre. It is well provided with travellers facilities and prides itself on its cultural activity and its significant presence in the general cultural life of the island, much of which is centered around the Faculty of Letters of the University of Crete, established here. Artistic events are regularly organized, as are exhibitions, plays, concerts and lectures. Rethymnon is linked by bus with the main towns and villages of the prefecture and also with Heraklion and Chania. Rethymnon has no airport, but it does have regular connections with the Chania airport.
