Why Sarah chose North Cornwall

My family loves Cornwall and Rock in particular. The white sandy beaches, the surfing, sailing and ice creams are a huge hit with my children. The grown-ups love the walks, golf and amazing restaurants. We bought Seamist to allow us all to enjoy a classic seaside holiday and as somewhere where we will want to come back year after year. Whether it is building sandcastles on the beautiful beaches, within walking distance of the house, or eating fish and chips on the harbour wall in Padstow or cycling the Camel Trail, there is always lots to do. Seamist is tucked away in the centre of Rock down a private drive making it quiet and safe and coming home to an open fire in the colder months is always special, making the house feel warm and homely. We love it and can't wait to return.

What makes this bungalow unique

Guestbook comments from the manager

We recently stayed at Seamist in Rock when visiting Cornwall on holiday. It was the perfect base from which to explore the area and we would recommend this property to anyone looking for a suitable place to stay in Rock. It is really well laid out and the garden includes a lovely patio area with table, chairs plus a gas barbecue, which we used regularly during our stay. It was easy to walk to the nearby shops and local amenities whilst we made good use of the access across the golf course to Daymer Bay and Polzeath beyond. Seamist is ideal for both families and couples. We will definitely stay there again when we next visit Cornwall, which will hopefully be soon! Definately 5 stars!

Home from home!

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in many self-catering properties in the UK and abroad, some good, some not so good but Seamist is always top of our list of places to return to - we love this house! From the moment you walk in through the door, you are struck by the peace and quiet, the space, the cleanliness and the feeling that you can kick off your shoes and relax. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, the bathrooms have amazing hot, powerful showers, the garden is safe for children and dogs, the open fire in the living/dining room is a great focal point on chilly evenings and the location is perfect - walking distance to shops, restaurants, beaches and cafes.Thank you for another wonderful stay, see you again soon!

New Year in Seamist

  • 5 of 5

We had an excellent stay in Seamist. The house was a warm welcome from the January cold including a lovely open fire one evening! The location in Brea Road is perfect to explore the various beaches and walks that the Rock area has to offer and local shops provide a huge variety of quality cooking and pre-cooked meals. Overall we had a top class stay in Seamist.

A beautifully clean, homely and luxurious house.

  • 5 of 5

As regular visitors to Rock over the years, we find that Seamist is beyond compare as the perfect self-catering holiday home-from-home option in North Cornwall. Its location can not be beaten for access to the beaches, sailing club, golf course, local shops, Padstow and Polzeath. I could go on. My children (17, 8 and 6) all love their holidays in Seamist. It is so homely that my youngest children think that it actually belongs to us. Seamist's owners are the perfect hosts, there is absolutely nothing left wanting when you arrive and they have lots of local contacts and hints to help you with your shopping, restaurant booking and even babysitting. We plan to go for years.

The house in Rock was far superior than described. Everything you could want. Spotlessly clean.

  • 5 of 5

When we arrivived w e were greeted by a warm spotlessly clean property with beautiful luxury bedding and towels. All the furniture was of a very good standard. we have stayed in a few properties where everything was tired and worn. The house is set in a beautiful quiet area and a short picturesque walk takes you to Rock Beach ideal for children. Lots of good restaurants and Rock itself all within walking Distance.Sarah could not have been more helpful and was only a phone call away. I would definitely recommend this property and the area to any of my friends and family. Lovely house well stocked with everything you need. Lovely private garden which is not overlooked what more could you ask for.

Family holiday in Rock

  • 5 of 5

We rented Semist for a short break in Cornwall during a visit from family in the US. Seamist was the perfect place for a relaxed holiday in North Cornwall. There was plenty of space for the 6 of us (+ dog), and the house was exactly as described. We even had a bbq one night on the excellent gas barbeque.

This is a great location for exploring the villages of Rock and Polzeath. There is only a short walk from the house to the beach down the hill, or across the golf course. From there you can get the ferry across the Padstow, or walk along Daymer Bay to Polzeath.

The house was very clean, well mantained and very well equiped (inc. the all important WiFi for teenagers). It wasn't the cheapest of places to stay, but then you get what you pay for, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
