Hosts were great. Place was great. Location was great. True irish coach house in the country.

  • 5 of 5

The town of Inistioge was cute and had a little store. Regular markets within 10 minutes in Thomastown. Great place to locate and day trip to Cork, Cliffs of Moher, Dublin, Waterford, Wexford, Kilkenny, etc. Also check out jerpoint Abbey and Kells Priory nearby. Pay for guided tour at abbey and park near the mill then walk along river to priory.

Beautiful coach house with lots of history and charm!

  • 5 of 5

Loved staying here! Mark and Fran were sweet hosts. Home was only 20 min. from New Ross which was a sweet little town. My only suggestion would be if they could store a bit more basic supplies (toilet paper, towels, maybe coffee and sugar) so that for a couple night stay we're not having to go out and shop for little things like that. Other than that it was completely gorgeous and enjoyable!!

Owner's Response: Dear Lindsey, Thank you for your comments. As regards towels we do supply, depending on the number of guests, up to 8 towels, but perhaps you are referring to paper towels for the kitchen which we do not usually supply. Each bathroom is provided with a full toilet roll. We do provide tea and sugar which was in a tea caddy and a sugar bowl and we take on board your comments and will provide coffee in the future. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay with us. Margaret & Mark

Lovely Private Stay with Great Hosts!

  • 5 of 5

I very much enjoyed my stay at the coach house. Mark and Margaret are lovely hosts and were very helpful with recommendations for the local area (hiking, eating, shopping, attractions). As a female traveling on my own, I felt very safe and the quaint character of the house really made me feel right at home. Mark and Margaret were very gracious even accommodating me with an early arrival since my flight from the states touched down early in the Irish morning. A little less than 2 hours from Dublin and an easy walk from town, the location is ideal. Highly recommend.

Perfect introduction to Ireland

  • 5 of 5

If you seek an authentic accommodation, this is your destination. We are a family of 5. My husband & I enjoyed the private room & bath while our children took the loft. The children roamed every square inch of the property, which was amazing in itself. Teenagers unplugged & interacting with hens! Your hosts think of everything & if they haven't met your need, simply ask. We also dined at Circle of Friends & it was excellent. Quaint village, beautiful lodge setting, and fantastic slumber! Only regret is we didn't have enough time to do more. Highly recommend

amazing cottage, lovely hosts, great holiday all round!!

  • 5 of 5

Ireland in January might not seem the most appealing choice but sitting by the wood fire in this beautifully converted stable it couldn't have been more cosy and relaxing. This is very comfortable accommodation in a beautiful part of the country (even in the midst of winter). Maggie & Mark are wonderful hosts who really know how to make you feel welcome. Our daughter loved the chickens that came visiting every morning.

A wonderful time all round!

Four star stay!

  • 5 of 5

This is a must stay location for the south east. If you are looking for a first rate country setting with abounding charm and every amenity this is the location for a couple or family. We found the coach house to be so well done and so comfortable we all agreed that we did not want to leave and would stay again in a second. The house is wood and stone throughout and decorated in country rustic. The home is nestled just outside the quaint little village of Inistioge. There is breakfast and evening pubs open but expect to travel 10-15 minutes for dinner. We used this as our base for two days as we ventured out. Killkenny was wonderful and only a 20 minute drive.

The owners are remarkably friendly and you will fill like your visiting with family within minutes.

Can stay enough about this beautiful country setting....extraordinary!

Either side of the village you can take easy walks along the river bank in peaceful countryside. Above the village is the Woodstock demense and House whose gardens have been restored to their former glory, which at one time were considered one of the great gardens of Ireland.

In Thomastown (7Kms) there is the famous Jerpoint Abbey and in Kilkenny (15kms) there is the Castle and Rothe house and a number of churches and Cathedrals.Waterford (44Kms) is only 40mins drive away where there is a museum of local history and buildings of historical interest.

Inistioge is centrally located for easy access to the south coast and sandy beaches and all major towns in the area.
