About Shaun Gleeson & Sharon Doran

Originally from West London now living in Berrynarbor.

Shaun Gleeson & Sharon Doran purchased this barn in 2016

Why Shaun Gleeson & Sharon Doran chose Ilfracombe

Believed to be two hundred years old, Berry Mill Cottage was originally the barn to the mill house next to it.

We found it a year ago, fell in love with the cottage and the mill house, as well as the beautiful surrounding area. By the time we bought the property in October 2016 both had been left empty for nearly two years.

Berry Mill Cottage - the restored barn - is now ready to be enjoyed as a holiday home. Berry Mill House is at present being lovely restored.

Beautiful cottage - a real gem

  • 5 of 5

We’ve just spent a wonderful weekend in this beautiful cottage. From the moment we arrived , we were made to feel so welcome by Sharon & Shaun who couldn’t have been any more helpful and attentive - nothing is too much trouble.

The cottage has everything you would need for your stay and was very comfortable, clean and warm. The location is great too - a short drive to Combe Martin, Ilfracombe and beyond. I hadn’t realised that the cottage is situated on the edge of a lovely camping site, which is impeccably maintained and peaceful. The camp site owners also made us feel so welcome, allowing us to use the shop (for groceries, papers and essentials) and bar. However, I’m not sure if these facilities are seasonal.

If you prefer to eat out, there are two pubs within walking distance - both do great food at a reasonable price.

We had such a relaxing and peaceful weekend and hope to go back next year with family who will book onto the camp site and into the adjoining B&B which is opening soon.

I would have no hesitation at all in recommending this accommodation.

Thank you to Sharon and Shaun for allowing us to stay in your lovely cottage.

Fantastic cottage in fab location!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fabulous week in Berrymill cottage! Shaun and Sharon have thought of everything, so many little touches were most appreciated including the provisions left for us on our arrival. We loved the location, such a great base to travel out from, and the setting is so quiet and relaxing. We really liked Sawmills pub located at the bottom of the road, lovely food and within a short walking distance. It was a perfect first holiday with our 6 month old and the grandparents. Thank you Shaun and Sharon we hope to return one day and highly recommend to others.

The Cleaver Family.
