About Sarah Auclair

I have worked in the tourist industry for many years, first as an agent and now as an owner of a holiday home rental.

Sarah Auclair purchased this apartment in 2008

Why Sarah Auclair chose Kent

When I first saw this flat, I was impressed by the wonderful views and also how near it is to everything so perfect for walking. Being an art lover and Turner being one of my favourite painters, it was very hard not to be drawn by the history of the area. I also love junk shops and Margate has some of the best and I've found some real bargains, many of which now furnish the flat. As I live in London most of the time, what could be better than to hop on a train and get away from the big city and simply gaze out to sea. Even in mid winter, when there's always a warm friendly pub to sit in after a long walk.

What makes this apartment unique

I love this flat because it has everything I need but most of all, it has to be the views. I also love the high ceilings and the tall windows and original features, especially the fireplace.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Lovely well equipped apartment. Great to explore Margate. We had a nice dinner at Sand's Hotel and a great brunch at Fort's Cafe.

Wonderful stay

  • 5 of 5

We had a very nice week in the flat of Sarah. Everything was like described, clean and equipped with really everything we needed. The service of Sarah was perfect. We (2 adults with 11 and 13 years old daughters) visited Margate to recreate after a nice but exhausting sightseeing week in London and enjoyed the sea and the different sandy beaches. Shopping facilities and restaurants were in walking distances and there is a good bus system to go around in the surrounding area, for example to visit the pretty town Canterburry.

For us it was a perfect week in a perfect flat.

Thanks to Sarah from Frankfurt (Germany).

Wonderful stay in Margate

  • 5 of 5

The flat is really nice and comfortably, just like the pictures. Everything was really clean and well-maintained

We visited England for the first time, and we are very happy that we decided to book this flat. Margate is a really nice "city", we loved to go for a walk at the beach in the evenings. And it's not so far away from London, so we went there for 2 times. Our daughter (16 years) and our sun (11 years) were also very happy with our decision.

I would like to mention, that there is great shopping there.

We can recommend this property really to everybody. We spent a very nice holiday there and we are sure that we will come again.

Thank you :))
