About the property

Family vacation let close to the centre and medina

Riad Junaina, our home, in Marrakesh is in a complex by the Medina walls, close to Souk al Khemis and only 10 minutes taxi from the main square, Jama al Fana, and the town centre. There is a bus stop just a few minutes from the residence. Bus No 2 will take you to the Medina and Jama al Fana from the residence. Tickets are 3 dh (25p)

Savour the tranquile and welcoming atmosphere here in the 'tourist village' which offers a wonderful escape from the hustle & bustle of the Red City, Marrakech. Splash around in the swimming pools to escape the heat or just to relax. Within this petit village there are food stores, a cafe, snack places and a pharmacy.

There are three airconditioned bedrooms, each located on separate floors.

Floor 1 - Bedroom with twin single beds, ensuite with A/C

Floor 2 - Bedroom with twin single beds, ensuite with A/C

Floor 3 - Bedroom with a double bed, with A/C.

The kitchen has a cooker, fridge/freezer and kitchen utensils.

About Mr Ak jee

After graduating, I travelled to Morocco and spent most of my time in Fes, a beautiful and historic city where I made many friends. However, when I visited Marrakech at the end of my adventure, I was left with a tinge of regret that I had not spent more time there. The Red City, with it's lively medina atmosphere totally enchanted me.

I have been returning to Marrakech every year since 2005 and the city and it's people never cease to amaze me.

Mr Ak jee purchased this house in 2006

Why Mr Ak jee chose Marrakech

It is a fantastic recluse to return to after enjoying the delights of the medina with its hustle and bustle.

The petite ville caters for all our needs without needing to venture out and has excellent breakfast and dining facilities.

What makes this house unique

Calm and quite location, close to the medina and attractions. The petite village has excellent places for breakfast and dinner at very reasonable prices.

There is a bus (number 2) right outside the residence which goes to and from the Medina and Jama al Fana every 30 - 40 minutes (last stop the Koutubiyya mosque).

This was our first trip to Morocco, We had an amazing holiday. Marrakech is such a wonderful place, the people are so friendly - but worth brushing up on your French.



We loved the apartment with its sun trap roof terrace and the residence. The complex has a lovely set of swimming pools, and a few shops and cafes, but it is also in a great central location, just outside the city walls towards the North of the city. This part, the streets around Bab Kechich is probably my favourite part of the city, less touristy than the square further South, instead loads of amazing little shops and market stalls. A great place if you enjoy cooking, lovely fresh cheap vegetables and fruit.



Both Abdullah the owner, and Abdul Karim, who meets you at the apartment, are really helpful, sorting out transport from the airport etc, and day trips if you want.



I would really recommend this apartment for a family holiday

Very nice riad

Me and my family had a brilliant stay in Marrakech the riad was very clean and had everything we needed. The assistant was very kind and helpful he was always there to help us in anyway he could. The owner made Our stay very comfortable, we will definitely go back again and recommend this riad to all my family and freinds.

Fantastic holiday in Marrakech

The Ryad was clean and tidy, well equipped. The pools are great for the children.

It is within walking distance of the Square and most places you would wish to visit, Souks, Bahia Palace, etc. The new town is a little further and probably advisable to get a taxi.

We would defintely recommend this property to friends and relatives wishing to visit Marrakech.

Prices are for the standard accommodation of 6 people.
Sterling is the preferred currency but Euros will be accepted at the higher of £1 = 1.3 Euros and the exchange price at the time. This is because of the extra costs involved.
In order to make a reservation, we request 50% of the price in advance.
Bank transfer is the preferred payment method, though Paypal will also be accepted.
If you want to pay by credit card, then this too is possible, but an extra £10 will have to be added to the rental price to cover my costs. The service providers will also take their charges.
A security deposit of £150 is required, which will be returned a week after departure providing the property is left in a satisfactory condition.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 7 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
