Spacious and great location - smkt/ rest/ bar 550m, harbour 900m, beaches 1.1km

Casa Cielo is a superb four bedroom villa surrounded by high walls giving privacy in all areas. A drive with electronic gates or the pedestrian entrance lead you past the outdoor games area with table tennis table to the front door.

Upon entering Cielo, off the hallway to the left are all the bedrooms whilst to the right up a few steps is the large lounge with four comfortable leather sofas. There is an archway through to the dining room and another archway leading to the large, modern, fully-fitted kitchen and separate utility room. The bedrooms all lead off the main hallway. There are two twin bedrooms, with 2 single beds in each, a family bathroom, a master bedroom with a king-sized bed and ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower and bath, and a further bedroom with double bed and en-suite.

The spacious lounge and dining room both have doors out to the covered, sea view terrace which overlooks the very large 10m x 6m swimming pool with waterfall feature and corner roman steps. This pool has been changed to a salt chlorinator so no more chemicals in the pool. The upper terrace is equipped with modern comfortable furniture for relaxing as well as table and chairs, barbecue and outdoor fridge for al-fresco dining. There is also a shower room and separate toilet off this terrace, which is useful when you are by the pool or as the fourth bathroom. On the lower level around the pool there are sunbeds, an umbrella and a further table with chairs.

The recent addition of free WiFi is good for keeping in touch with home or work. The quality and size of this villa will appeal to families but will also suit couples who like a spacious villa in which to relax.

This is one of my favourite villas situated not too far up the hill in Los Mojones within easy walking distance of a good variety of supermarkets. The villa is always very clean and the lounge furniture is comfortable. There is a wide range of seating provided outside so you can always find a comfortable position in our out of the sun or wind! The pool is exceptionally good having vertical sides and sloping gradually to about 6 feet which suits less confident swimmers as well as the more able. The pool temperature is good provided you replace the cover overnight - which does require some effort since it is a large pool. There are lots of showers and plenty of hot water and towels provided. There is a wide screen television but don't expect much more than Sky News,better to bring your own DVD's. There are a good selection of restaurants down by the Port area and if you can't face the walk back up the hill a taxi can be readily had for 4 Euros with a tip. The villa has an electric gate which actually works and is very secluded. The local representatives are helpful but unobtrusive. They are there if you need them and having a native spanish speaker like Erica available is invaluable as I found out after I wrote off my hire car. On that latter point I found the Police, Hire Company, Insurers very easy to deal with and no drama. Drive carefully and enjoy the beautiful island of Lanzarote.

Fantastic villa and good location

A very well kept, clean and well equipped villa. We were concerned about there being no air conditioning but our fears were soon gone when we realised how cool the villa kept with the lovely breeze you get in Lanzarote. The villa was in a great location, it was quiet but near to the shops, beach and restaurants.

Lanzarote Leisure Villas were great to deal with and the local manager was available by phone and also came to check we were happy with everything. We rented bikes to go along the sea front and this was a great day out stopping for lunch at one of the many restaurants along past the airport, you also find more beaches this way. We also did a boat trip to La Graciosa and this was a fun day for all of us.

Great villa. Easy walking distance to the old harbour (all downhill tho so all uphill return)

Also very close to Lidl for supplies.

Spacious, well-equipped, great location

Four adults here for a week in late February. We were absolutely delighted with the villa and would definitely book it again.

Roomy and well-equipped, it is set in a tranquil area of Los Mojones and yet it's only a five minute downhill stroll to the nearest supermercado and about 15 to 20 minutes' walk down to the old town and harbour. If you don't fancy the walk back uphill to the villa, we found a taxi back never cost more than four euros including a decent tip.

There's plenty of space both inside and outside the villa. The pool was excellent - clean and heated - and there is a good balance of covered and uncovered areas outside. The villa and grounds are unoverlooked.

The wifi worked well and covered nearly all of the plot.

We only had a couple of small queries to raise with the property managers, and both were swiftly and professionally resolved by Erika and Emma.

Finally, given the villa's size and location, we thought the cost of our one week hire was excellent value for money.

Highly recommended by our group.

The villa is in a residential part of Puerto del Carmen’s Old Town known as Los Mojones. This is a quiet part of town yet close to all the amenities.

Supermarket: 6-7 minute walk (500m) east to No. 1, Calle Juan Carlos I. A large well-stocked supermarket with a great meat counter for your BBQ. When paying just ask a staff member to call a taxi for you and they will happily do so.

Local restaurants/ bars: 5-6 minute walk (500m) south-east to Calle Juan Carlos I.

Biosfera Shopping Plaza: 8-10 minute walk (550m) south to Calle Juan Carlos I. Four floors of shops, restaurants and amusements including Starlight Open Air cinema playing 2 English movies each evening, a billiard and pool hall, crazy golf, and Cine6D virtual reality motion rides.

Harbour: 14-16 minute walk (900m) south-west to a wide choice of restaurants and bars in the harbour area. Great for lunch, dinner or a drink while an adventure playground keeps the children amused. Lots of choice of boat trips from the harbour including trips on a submarine, scuba diving and the Water Taxi to the marina at Puerto Calero.

Beaches: both are a 16-20 minute walk (1.1km). Playa Chica is a pretty little cove surrounding by volcanic rocks, which is perfect for snorkelling and diving (a dive school is located here). Other sports enjoyed at Playa Chica are parascending, banana boat rides, single and double jet-skiing, Crazy UFO and Fly-boarding.

The main beach, Playa Grande, has fine grain sand for nearly 1.2km long with calm waters, a very gentle shelf and little current so paddling and swimming are very safe.

Main Beach Road: 16-20 minute walk (1.1km) to the western end of Avenida de las Playas, the long 'strip' of restaurants, cafes, bars and shops of the greatest variety that runs parallel to Playa Grande. Beach-side, the palm-tree lined promenade is perfect for strolling, jogging, cycling on the red brick cycling lane (many bicycle renting places available), or just people watching.

Don’t forget taxi fares are inexpensive in Lanzarote if you don’t want to walk home.

Lanzarote Golf: a public course 8 minutes drive (5km).

Puerto Calero: 30-50 minute walk (4km) go west along the coastal walkway and you will reach the marina at Puerto Calero, where there are lovely restaurants and gorgeous shopping. This walk is very popular with our clients. There is also a water taxi from the Old Town harbour if you don’t fancy the walk either one way or both ways. The restaurants in Puerto Calero are perfect for a long lazy lunch. The Water Taxi back costs 6 Euros and the last one leaves about 5pm.
