Spacious accommodation comprises entrance hall with guest wash room, air conditioned living/dining room with feature fireplace, sat TV and DVD player. PayGo WiFi internet access is also available. Patio doors lead to the delightful dining terrace. New fully equipped open plan fitted kitchen including dishwasher.

Downstairs we have the master bedroom with fitted wardrobes & en-suite bathroom with corner bath. The second bedroom also has a double bed with individual mattresses & fitted wardrobes. The third bedroom has 2 single beds & fitted wardrobes.

The family bathroom is fitted with bath & separate shower.

The utility room with washing machine & dryer is also on the lower level.

The feature staircase leads to the spacious roof terrace. Ideal for sunbathing and offers spectacular views.

Villa Golondrinas is well furnished with a homely atmosphere. Fully air conditioned. Marble floors & bathrooms. Lovely terraces. Parking close by.

In Casa las Golondrinas again. We have now visited

same house four times. That means, we do like it very much. Only thing we wish to have more is free wifi,

that paygo wifi is not ok. We are ready to pay little more rent with free wifi. Thanks to Ian and co for taking care .

Lovely villa, great location

The villa is well located, a short walk to Nerja town and even closer to Burriana beach. As other reviewers said, the hills are steep and the paths are uneven in parts which might not suit the elderly or toddlers.

The house itself exceeded our expectations , it's actually nicer than the photos. There was ample space for all of us 2 adults and 3 teenagers.

The pool was really lovely and while it is shaded in the morning it's absolutely glorious from midday through afternoon and evening. There is ample space around pool for 4 sun loungers. We didn't use the roof terrace as it was way too hot. The patio from kitchen living area is very nice, again it's bigger than photos lead you to think. It has a canopy which offers lovely shade in afternoon.

The 3 bedrooms are spacious. There are two full bathrooms, one of them is ensuite and while this is large with lovely corner bath, there is also an overhead shower but no shower curtain. The other bathroom has one standalone shower and a shower in the bath. Upstairs there is another toilet room.

All the stuff you need is in kitchen - cutlery dishes pots pans etc. We had some lovely barbecues on the patio during our stay.

Like other reviewers we thought wifi was terrible - would not advise anyone to pay for this service. The 3G coverage is good though so if you can negotiate some roaming bundle with your service provider it is probably a better option.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider returning.

p.s If you are a runner , the hills can be tough. Try the N-340 out towards Malaga and Maro, less hilly and you can also go off the main road and run down a path with lovely views out to sea

We love Nerja and first time going away with our 7 month old. The villa was lovely, clean and had everything we needed. The location was great you could either drive or walk to town, the beach and supermarkets and we did quite often. The pool was great and the sun trap on the roof terrace was perfect for sun bathing. I would highly recommend this villa and would happily stay their again.

Really lovely holiday

Really nice villa , a tiny bit of TLC needed but not off putting at all . Everything was as described and beautifully clean . All questions answered instantly , key collection easy and location perfect , just a short walk to beach (longer uphill back lol ) , bars close enough to stroll to but so very peaceful . My only criticism but nothing to really do with villa was wifi was diabolical ... Paid for two weeks , 3 days in still terrible connection , new transmitter fitted , rubbish left on floor , still intermitent connection , was not going to waste anymore time calling about it to provider BUT this as I state was not to do with villa but internet provider . Thank you Ian for smooth holiday .

Perfect family holiday villa

The property was excellent. Very nice layout with all the bedrooms having access to the pool area and being on the ground floor. The pool was fantastic for a family as it is a very generous size and felt private, its also a nice sun trap poolside in the afternoons. The terraces and roof were great for getting a range of views from the property or for following the sun. Plenty of equipment and felt like everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. Large living areas and a usable kitchen. The description was accurate on the property only not mentioning the walk down and up to the beach was quite steep. Its fine for mobile adults and fit children but our 7 year old only wanted to make the trip once a day so we either ate down there at night or went down to the beach in the daytime. The beach is only about 10 mins downhill if that and is an excellent family friendly beach with shops and restaurants all along it. Not 5 mins round the corner from the property was a good sized supermarket with anything you would need. We stayed local so have no idea on the surrounding locale but the town center was pretty with lots of shops and cafe/eating establishments. Our stay was just what we needed peaceful, relaxing and with the company sorting out our transfers very stress free. We loved the property and would highly recommend this villa.

Very nice villa

Could not fault the villa it was very nice, and clean throughout and just as described on the brochure (or better). After eleven nights we didn't want to leave . the area was delightful, in walking distance to town and ten minuets from supermarket, a short walk to the bus station, 8 euros each return to Malaga, very nice, 1euro each to Frigiliana well worth a visit. The English speaking management made everything very pleasant, stress free,and easy. A very nice holiday that I am already recommending to friends and family,

Nerja is a coastal town at the foot of the Almijara mountains with a long tradition of fishing and agriculture. The fishermen still pull their nets ashore on Burriana Beach and fresh produce can still be bought from the doorways of local people's houses. The weekly market (Tuesdays) attracts many traders and shoppers from all over the region and the town centre has a vibrant, friendly atmosphere with many lovely shops, tapas bars & restaurants.

Nearby towns of Frigiliana & Torrox offer the experience of authentic Spanish whitewashed villages. The world famous Caves are located in Maro just 3 km east of Nerja. Baviera Golf Course is within 15 min drive & the ski resort of the Sierra Nevada, Granada is just 2 hours drive. Ski & dine on the beach on the same day! Walking is very popular in the Sierra de Almijaras. There is a large shopping centre on the motorway at Velez Malaga. Malaga city offers excellent shops & restaurants together with a great historical insight.
