About this property

A stylish architect designed and furnished studio attached to the main house but self contained and with its own separate entrance. This modern contemporary west facing space is sunny, fully double glazed and overlooks the main house garden. It has a vaulted ceiling, designer lighting, ceramic wood effect flooring with underfloor heating, Venetian blinds, electrically operated windows and blackout curtains. There is a living/dining area with a sofa bed,high spec kitchen and separate sleeping area with a shower room and toilet. The studio is equipped with a washing machine, dishwasher induction hob combination oven microwave and warming drawer together with all necessary household items for a comfortable stay. There is a table and chairs outside and guests are welcome to enjoy the garden. There is space to park a car and use of bike shed is available if required.Bike hire is easy.The studio is located almost opposite Addenbrookes hospital, close to the station and is a 30 minute walk, ten minute cycle or 5 minute drive from the centre of Cambridge. Several express supermarkets and restaurants are located approximately a mile away. Bus stops are located a 5 - 7 minute walk away and the buses go approximately every 15 minutes. to the town centre. We now have electric bikes and scooters in Cambridge which are often available to pick up fairly close to the house. We also have Uber now so transport overall is very easy.

Home away from home

Our stay was not a holiday but a home while our home was taken over by builders. The garden studio was conveniently located and well equipped enabling us to live comfortably. We would recommend it to anyone visiting Cambridge for just a few days or longer term. The beautiful garden is a wonderful place to relax after a busy day and Joanne and Tony are warm and welcoming hosts.

Lovely Garden Studio

This was our second stay in this Garden Studio. It has been beautifully designed and has all the amenities you need. Approx. 30min walk to the city centre or you can hop on a electric scooter/bike to get there quicker! The hosts are lovely and provided good instructions.

A truly lovely stay

When we arrived we were met in the garden by Joanna & Paul who made us feel truly welcome. The studio was really lovely, quiet & peaceful & very well equipped. It felt more like a home than a holiday rental. Lovely views of the garden. We really loved staying there & hope to return one day. Thank you both for your hospitality.

Why they chose this property

The studio is part of recent general renovations and extensions to our house where we have lived for the past 30 years. It is lovely and light, warm and contemporary with views over and access to an established garden . The studio is well located for enjoying all the many all year round attractions of Cambridge.

What makes this property unique

The Studio is sunny, modern and comfortable with full height glazing to the west aspect underfloor heating vaulted ceilings, high specification fittings, modern shower room,free Wifi and access to the lovely garden. We have equipped the studio with individual crockery and good quality cutlery and kitchen utensils and believe you will need for nothing but if anything is missing we are on site to assist. We provide milk,tea and coffee, a complimentary bottle of wine and some beer and a few biscuits to nibble on when you arrive. We also make sure you have the essentials of olive oil ,wine vinegar and salt and pepper so you don't have to bother with these when shopping. We also provide foil and cling film to keeping food fresh and plenty of kitchen towels - always useful! Bed linen and towels will be changed once per week.
