Lovely Home in a Beautiful City!
This is a delightful house in a neighborhood up the hill from the main part of town. It was our first time to SMA and it is a very lovely city. Its especially beautiful at night with the cathedrals lit up everywhere. We are so glad we visited!
We loved our week at Casa Mimi! Absolutely the perfect location, just the right amount of proximity to everything... including Parque Juarez and the Parroquia and so many fabulous restaurants. Wonderful home! The space is very unique... a split level courtyard house with an interior garden and roof patios. Each level offers a different way to experience the house and its connection with the city. Inside (and outside) everywhere you look are museum quality paintings. The interiors are so inviting, colorful, and tasteful, and the beds were so comfortable! (even with the occasional noise of being close to El Centro, my children slept so well here.) The owners truly love this property!
And Jaime couldn't have been nicer. He even helped us out blocks away before he knew we were his tenants. 6 Stars!!!
Beautiful and artistic! Unique design to house and felt that we were experiencing another quintessential part of San Miguel (the hills and architecture). Nice and comfy beds and a tv for my husband to watch the World Cup games. Great roof. It was all perfect for us. Owners are close by and very helpful. A+
We Didn't Want to Leave
Suite Mimi is a beautiful, comfortable, clean, spacious house in a great location.
The house is just like the pictures - fun and colorful art everywhere you look, with fresh flowers in the kitchen. Beds are comfy, showers are hot, towels are fluffy. Kitchen is well stocked with cookware, spices, and bottled water. Wifi is fast. Maids are friendly, courteous, and thorough. Checking in and out was painless.
The immediate neighborhood is mostly residential, meaning less traffic and hoopla than other parts of town. Even so it can be a little noisy at night and early morning with church bells, fireworks, dogs barking, etc... I think that must just be life in SMA. The three bedrooms in the rear are much quieter than the front bedroom. You can easily walk to all the attractions.
We didn't want want to leave, and can't wait to go back!
Perfect location and cool space
Our family really loved the interesting home the hosts have created. Every inch is well designed, with interesting art, well chosen furniture, and an overall creative vibe. There was a loaf of banana bread waiting when we arrived and all needs were taken care of instantly. Also, the proximity to the Jardin was unbeatable. Neighborhood felt very safe too. Book and know you will be pleased.
Fun, Creative Home with room to share with Family!
Suite Mimi in San Miguel was the perfect place to call home during our 4 night stay in SMA!! There were 5 of us, including our 2.5 yr old son and my parents, and we all had our private space and plenty of room to spread out! It was warm and cozy during the unseasonably chilly weather, with fireplaces in nearly every room. The artwork and furnishings are fun, expressive, quirky, and hilarious! You're love spending hours exploring all the details of the space. With an open (covered) center courtyard, you get lovely fresh air all the time. It's located in the Beverly Hills of SMA and was an easy walk everywhere in town. We were lucky enough to have Cheryl staying close by and she gave us amazing recommendations for shops and great eats! You must check out her and Jaime's restaurant Cafe Rama, where you'll want to linger for hours eating and drinking, enjoying the fireplace, and art & jewelry shopping. The best in town! San Miguel and Suite Mimi... We'll be back!
Hotsprings about 20 minutes outside of town.
