Number 6 Bryn Awel Terrace is our own holiday home and is only let for selected weeks. We love our time here but we can’t be here all the time.
The cottage has spectacular views across Cardigan Bay to the Lleyn peninsula. All rooms except the bathroom and kitchen have this wide panoramic view. The cottage is situated slightly out of town but it is only a 5 minute walk to the shops and a few minutes more to the main beach area. It is an ideal location being on a quiet lane but very close to the beach and all the amenities of Barmouth.
Number 6 is a two bedroomed cottage. It has a big main bedroom with two windows overlooking the town to give a wide vista over Cardigan Bay. With stripped floors, Victorian pine bed-head, wardrobe and chest of drawers plus an old ornamental stove this is a stylishly quaint room. The bed is a standard double.
The second bedroom is under the eaves offering a lovely secret hideaway. The bed in this room is a small double. This room also has a big window with sea views.
The bathroom has a roll top bath with shower over, stripped floor and a lovely warm cosy feel.
Downstairs is one big room with a pine counter dividing the lounge/dining area from the kitchen. The kitchen has a washer/drier, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave and cooker. This room looks across the town to Bardsey Island on the end of the Lleyn peninsula.
The lounge has a lovely stone fireplace and hearth and a big log burner. From this room there is access to a patio area on the front, a wonderful place to enjoy a glass of wine and watch the amazing sunsets which are one of the delights of this area.
There are TVs in the lounge and main bedroom with lots of books, board games, guides, maps etc with local information. We have a Sky connection if you wish to bring your Sky box with you. There is free Wi-Fi with an excellent signal. We have central heating and bed linen and towels are included in the rental price. You would need to bring your own beach towels.
Your parking space is on the lane behind the cottage. the lane is very quiet, only used by the few people who live on the lane.
The town is about five minutes walk away. We have to recognise that the walk involves a steep incline and because the cottage has a steep stairwell the accommodation is not really suitable for those with mobility limitations.
The beach is about eight minutes walk away or you can be on the open mountain side in a few minutes.
We accept dogs to stay at the property, one large or up to two small dogs.
STRICTLY NO SMOKING INCLUDING VAPES PLEASE.
