5 km from S. Angelo Muxaro, a characteristic village identified with the legendary Kamikos, the palace of the legendary king of Sicani Kokalos, immersed in a boundless space, reforested with pines and cypresses, among the colors and scents of aromatic herbs and brooms, is an old farmhouse completely renovated according to modern living criteria and perfectly integrated into the surrounding environment. In addition to wood and Sicilian terracotta, the local stone, the shimmering crystalline gypsum, has been used to restore the structure, which covers the majestic façade, giving it a touch of rustic elegance and recalling its noble origin. The house was in fact owned by a family of ancient lineage of Palermo, the Dukes of Pietratagliata, who used it as a summer residence.
Today the structure, equipped with all comforts, contains 5 bright rooms furnished in style (for a total of 15 beds) with heating, air conditioning and TV, a large dining room with TV, computer and internet point, equipment for the disabled. A large terrace that extends into the surrounding hills becomes, in both summer and winter, a privileged place for relaxation.
