VACATION HOUSE GRADINA BAY
This 220 m² big house is the ideal setting for a Croatian seaside holiday with family or friends. Resting on the western tip of Korcula Island in beautiful Dalmatia, this vacation home offers swimming in the pristine Adriatic Sea in quiet Gradina Bay, spectacular sunsets from a large terrace, luxury accommodation, and easy access to area attractions.
The first floor features a spacious living room and indoor dining areas, which makes it more devoted to living and relaxing. The modern kitchen is fully equipped, and the living area features wide-screen television, satellite TV, and a DVD player.
The large front terrace is the perfect place for enjoying spectacular sunsets and the transparent colours of the sea. The second terrace, located behind the house, is large enough and offers possibilities for ball games and there is also an outdoor BBQ, where you can prepare some tasty dishes. This terrace features also an outdoor shower.
The vacation house also features air-conditioning on the top floors, Wi-Fi internet and a free private parking spot for 2 cars.
The second floor features 2 separated bedrooms – the 1st has a double bed with en-suite bathroom with bath tub and the 2nd bedroom features two single beds and an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. The 3rd bedroom lies on the ground floor, where there is a living room with two pull-out couches. This vacation house can accommodate all together 8 people.
There is a fantastic pebble beach just 50m of the house. Pebble beach enthusiasts should also visit the island very close to the house, the Proizd island (a local boat takes you there 4 times a day from Vela Luka to island Proizd, 20-minute ride one way). Proizd Island was selected as the most popular beach in the Adriatic Sea in 2008. It has 4 beautiful pebble beaches, one of which is nudist.
According to the locals and numerous tourists, the village of Gradina is one of the most beautiful bays on the island of Korcula. An astounding turquoise colour of the sea, a charming view of the delightful little island of Gubesa and many anchored sailboats only add to the uniqueness of this endearing village.
Here the coast is crisscrossed by rocks and jetties, but the sea is very shallow, so that children and non-swimmers in particular can enjoy carefree swimming.
The natural trees, depending on the time of day, provide plenty of shade in many places. Gradina is also surrounded by 3 small islands on which nude bathers like to romp about on. In the bay, boats can be rented for the crossing.
The southern region of the bay is bordered by a peninsula which can be reached on foot via a narrow causeway, and which has many idyllic swimming spots on shady, rocky beaches.
Despite the fact that the bay is large, it is very well protected from the majority of the winds. Facing west gives the bay a refreshing Maestral wind in the hot summer months.
There are mostly pebble beaches in the bay (small white stones) and partially rock beaches with concrete piers making them suitable for children as well as those who like to take the occasional dive from the pier.
Gradina Bay includes a top-class restaurant offering local seafood specialties. There is easy access to nearby Vela Luka, with a wide range of restaurants, shops, nightclubs, boat and scooter rental facilities, and entertainment.
